Comments about Albert Augustine Red Label Classical Guitar Strings:

I teach beginning guitar. A college guitar professor advised that these are the strings to use wiith beginners. It's been almost a decade now and I still use them. They don't have ball ends so you will have to tie them...which is fine by me. I cut off the ball ends on any nylon strings given to me anyway.

These strings are about as soft on the finger as you can get for beginners. Great purchase.

Comments about Albert Augustine Red Label Classical Guitar Strings:

I have always used Augustine Blues and enjoy them the most. I thought I would try the Reds for a change of pace. The Reds are a lighter gauge and have less tension than the Blues. I will go back to the Blues next time. Thicker heavier bottoms with more snap and growl.

Comments about Albert Augustine Red Label Classical Guitar Strings:

I have used these strings on my classical guitars for 50 years. They were recommended to me by my instructor when I lived in Germany. My guitar is a 1965 hand made Rainer Krempel, modeled after one of Segovia's Ramirez'. The strings sound great on it. I have used other strings on my other guitars, but these are my "go to" ones for my best guitar.

            A / B ed against Pro Arte

Comments about Albert Augustine Red Label Classical Guitar Strings:

I alternated Augustine Red Label and Pro Arte (J45 normal) strings on the same guitar. The Augustine strings are brighter, far better projection. The Pro Arte strings have a more predictible and sweeter vibrato. On balance, the Augustine's have the sound, but may have less character and feel. Obviously, Red to EJ45 might not be the ideal comparison.
