Gives your tremolo 3 modes of operation.

The Allparts Tremol-No is a patented device that is added to an electric guitar equipped with a tremolo/vibrato unit. It allows guitarists 3 playing options:

1) tremolo unit "on" — in this position your tremolo functions as normal. You can raise or lower the pitch of notes with the tremolo unit.
2) tremolo unit "off" — in this position, you'll enjoy the benefits of a hardtail bridge, where the tremolo unit doesn't move at all; no lowering or raising of a note's pitch via the tremolo system, and the other strings remain in tune should you break one of them.
3) tremolo unit "dive only mode" — in this position, you can only lower the pitch of notes. If you break a string or drop tune the low E to D, the other strings will stay in tune.

The Tremol-No comes in three versions: Pin-type (our sku# H71947), Clamp-type-large, (our sku# H71957), and Clamp-type-small (our sku# H71941). Please see the "Tremol-no works with chart" document attached for details on choosing the right one for your tremolo.

Comments about Allparts Tremol-No Tremolo Locking Device - Pin Type:

The Tremol-No system is great in my EBMM JP6. I love the floating bridge in that guitar but sometimes I'd like to just block it off and play around with some drop tunings. I tried the wood and coin methods, which were fine. I still found some tuning instabilities though even with these methods. I do know some people who've had issues with the claw screws being too short in their guitar to work with, etc. I didn't have that issue. I had a ton of claw screw room to work with. That being said, it was a relatively easy install and I'd recommend the Tremol-No to anybody who wants to block off their trem.

Comments about Allparts Tremol-No Tremolo Locking Device - Pin Type:

This device does what it says it does - allows you to set a floating trem to normal function, down only, or fixed, very quickly. It was easy to install in my JTV-69, once I got some longer tremolo claw screws. And it was easy to set up - just get the bridge in the neutral position and lock the "deep C" clamp to make it down-only. I can then lock the others to make it a fixed bridge to do double-stop bends without going flat. Or if I break a string, lock it and keep playing - something you can't normally do with a floating trem. Or unlock all of them and it's back to floating. I think it improved the sustain of the instrument as well. I'm going to cut a new back plate with an opening to get to the screws while playing. I plan to put these in my main guitars with floating trems.

Tremol-No Tremolo Locking Device - Pin Type

        By Dan Prager

        from Saratoga Springs NY

Comments about Allparts Tremol-No Tremolo Locking Device - Pin Type:

This device works as advertised, allows me to lock the trem or put it in "dive bomb only" mode for use with drop and alternative tunings. Once installed it does not impact the use of the trem at all, it is only in play when the thumbscrews are set.

The bad news was the installation. I have an ESP with the FR Special, which the Tremol-No website says it is compatible with. However, the spring mounting plate size and screw hole pattern on my FR and the one that is built into the device were different. So installation required drilling new holes in the back of my brand new ESP, I am very handy with many years working on guitars so not a big deal. But not necessarily the best idea for novices or the faint at heart.

Summary - I really like the unit, but the install was much more complex than advertised.

        Solid and very useful product

        By Brad Allen

        from Texas

Comments about Allparts Tremol-No Tremolo Locking Device - Pin Type:

I installed the pin type tremol no on my Tom Anderson Drop T. It's a very easy install. I wanted something that would freeze the tremolo so that I could pull off oblique bends without my stationary notes going flat, and yet let me use the trem when I wanted to. Tuning doesn't change while locking and unlocking. Sustain may be slightly increased, in my estimation it's not an over the top increase. There is a perceivable "spring ring" heard now but isn't a huge problem. I would recommend this product to anyone having the same needs as mine.
What this does in effect is keep me from having to change guitars so many times during a set.
Very well thought out product. It does exactly what it advertises it will. IMO it is certainly a better alternative than blocking your tremolo and having it be completely useless.
I found nothing on the tremol no to be less than very well built.
Cost a little more that a wood block but well worth it.

        Great product

        By Bill Dudek

Comments about Allparts Tremol-No Tremolo Locking Device - Pin Type:

Excellent item, I picked up a guitar with a tremelo because it was used and the price was right but I really don't like tremelos since the thign constantly goes out of tune. This solved that and if I change my mind I can enable the trem again in about a minute.
Easily engage, dis-engage the tremolo, ok well you do have to unscrew the back plate on the guitar.
This thing is solid, even when I knocked the bridge while changing pickups and it got launched out of the back of my guitar it really didn't get hurt. The one complaint I do have here, and I realize I should have just been more careful on my part, is that when this happened the pin got slightly bent and I had a hard time getting it back in until I realized this.

Comments about Allparts Tremol-No Tremolo Locking Device - Pin Type:

I have just purchased another one for my other strat. What more can i say.
Installed on a strat with 2 point trem. Set for dive only works as advertised.slight increase in sustain and comes back in tune 99% of the time.I am also using sperzel locking tuners and a bone nut cut properly for my string guage.
Set screws will fall out without constant vigilance. The one i have locked for dive only stays firm.
        Great unit for the money.

Comments about Allparts Tremol-No Tremolo Locking Device - Pin Type:

I have just ordered another one for strat #2. What else can i say?
I am using this on a 2 point strat bridge set for dive only. Works great, slightly improved sustain and i am now in tune all the time. With locking sperzels and a properly cut bone nut i have beat the heck out of it and it comes back spot on 99% of the time.
The set screws do fall out if you don't check them constantly.I have put plumbers tape on the 2 i don't have locked down and so far it seems to work.
Well worth the money.I f your a strat guy you wont have to slam your bridge for tuning stability any longer.

        Works as advertised

        By Ricardo Ruiz

        from San Diego

Comments about Allparts Tremol-No Tremolo Locking Device - Pin Type:

        Excellent Product
I recently picked up a 1996 Washburn N4 with a Schaller Floyd Rose trem. I wanted to add a D Tuna to it but since it is a floatling style trem I knew it would never work unless I was able to block the trem.

I looked at other trem blocks and opted to try out this one based on the ease of installation and adjustability. There is a very good youtube video that explains how to install it.

Very easy to install and it works as advertised. My guitar stays in tune extremely well and the D Tuna functions as advertised.
