Allparts

Gives your tremolo 3 modes of operation.

The Allparts Tremol-No is a patented device that is added to an electric guitar equipped with a tremolo/vibrato unit. It allows guitarists 3 playing options:

1) tremolo unit "on" — in this position your tremolo functions as normal. You can raise or lower the pitch of notes with the tremolo unit.
2) tremolo unit "off" — in this position, you'll enjoy the benefits of a hardtail bridge, where the tremolo unit doesn't move at all; no lowering or raising of a note's pitch via the tremolo system, and the other strings remain in tune should you break one of them.
3) tremolo unit "dive only mode" — in this position, you can only lower the pitch of notes. If you break a string or drop tune the low E to D, the other strings will stay in tune.

The Tremol-No comes in three versions: Pin-type (our sku# H71947), Clamp-type-large, (our sku# H71957), and Clamp-type-small (our sku# H71941). Please see the "Tremol-no works with chart" document attached for details on choosing the right one for your tremolo.

Comments about Allparts Tremol-No Tremolo Locking Device - Small Clamp:

Hands down awesome! The Tremol-no was very easy to set-up (as long as you have had some experience with adjusting a vibrato set-up). I installed mine with E standard tuning on my Dean DCR ML Black Chrome that has a Floyd Rose 1000 (basically the exact same as a Floyd Rose Original but made in Korea for those that may not know). The different settings (blocked, dive-only and full-floating) work great with no flaws except maybe for a very, very minor pitch change when you do an alternate tuning on dive-only or blocked and then tune up again and switch back to full floating. I have not owned it for very long so I can't review its ability to endure a long amount of time, but I have had it on blocked with an Eb standard tuning for almost two weeks and the tuning is impeccably accurate. The only other flaw in the Tremol-no would be the limited space you have to fit your fingers and tighten the screws when changing modes. If you are looking to buy one of these, get it! It is more than worth what you pay for it. And a helpful hint: when doing alternate tunings on blocked mode I only tighten the nut clamps with my fingers to keep it in tune.

            Does not return to pitch

Comments about Allparts Tremol-No Tremolo Locking Device - Small Clamp:

So I got small clamp tremol-no so I could put my RG570 in drop D without having to balance all the tuners and to give it more of a hardtail feel. When it comes to just hardtail mode the Tremol-no works great it's just when it is in dive only or free float that it will not return to pitch. If you dip the whammy bar flat the bridge returns flat with the tremol-no set to free float and if you pull the bar sharp it returns sharp. The instructions say to experiment with the screws that hold the claw piece where the springs attach but that did not help it stay in tune, it just either made it return more sharp or more flat but there was no happy middle. This is because the way the sliding part of the tremol-no rubs against the receiving arm at an angle. The angle being how far the bar is towards the front of the guitar where the strings are and back where the plastic back cover would be. I tried adjusting my bridge height as well but there is always some angle causing friction because the tremolo doesn't move forward or backward is pivots which causes some friction. With minimal use this isn't too bad, but I play along with music so it always ends up throwing everything off if I use the tremol-no. Also there is no flutter when in free float mode and flutter is one of the cool effects you can make with a tremolo so I decided to uninstall the unit and just deal with the trem and I realized switching to drop D doesn't take that much tweaking but obviously during a live set you'd want another guitar or this device if you never use your trem. Also the manufacture claims you'll notice a difference in tone. You won't. I'm sure there must be some change but it isn't noticable. On the plus side double stops are easier. I'm giving this such a low rating since it doesn't do free float mode well or allow flutter and that is what it was marketed to do and fails to do.

Comments about Allparts Tremol-No Tremolo Locking Device - Small Clamp:

Didn't work. I use .008 gauge detuned 3 frets with drop B and this just didn't work at all. When loosened, it was always dragging and I could pull the bar up and let go and all the strings would stay sharp instead of return back to the correct pitch. Perhaps for someone using .009s and 3 springs it might work.

Comments about Allparts Tremol-No Tremolo Locking Device - Small Clamp:

I have an ibanez with a double locking edge iii tremolo. I used the tremelno with it and it says what it does perfectly, locks tuning well. I was amazed at how well it stayed in tune. Also i could play double stops now and have increased sustain.

But, it does come with some hardware tech hitches. For one, when you are in dive only mode you need to loosen the 2 screws at the bottom of the part, but they rattle and make noise in the guitar, and with enough playing force can fall out, so you must take them out completely and store them somewhere.

Very small thing but another is everytime you change tunings in dive only mode you must dive your trem once after you've tuned to get rid of the tremelno rattling, has something to do with tension.

The instructions it came with were very vague, so setting up was confusing at times, had to resort to youtube. Also no manual on how to use the tremelno, you have to go online.

It works perfectly. I can drop D very easily with the added EVH d-tuna. I got the tremol-no so I could do alternate tunings, with the Roland guitar synthesizer gr-20.

Does exactly what it should. Takes about 20 to 60 minutes to set up but well worth it.
This device is perfect. I have it installed on both my floating trems. I can drop D on my floating trem!!!
                          Great material.
Better value on Musicians Friend than All Parts.
