I purchased this Case and received it 3 days after purchase- GREAT. I had never seen a case with this color and style, which gave it a new look to my liking. The case is light enough to carry, the handle is soft and it tilts the case perfectly to keep it from hitting off your legs. Some other reviews say the case is too thin, it is very sturdy. It is obviously plywood, but there has to be some kind of strong plastic to it also. Other reviews say that the "latches don't match up". This is an incorrect statement. The Lid positions onto the body of the case perfectly. With the guitar inside it is necessary to give the body a little push in, or the lid a little pull out to make the fit snug, which just shows it is healthy. Then the latches latch smoothly, and securely. The interior of the case is soft/heavily padded with a fake fur-carpet material. It is black, also stylish. The case is like none other I have owned, and it tops them all. Get it, it is worth it.

Sent it back. Sales people were great. Returned it and they sent me a silver creek.
Much better case, and about the same money.
It looks good in pictures, I should have known better. Awful Construction. Case was crushed on the back. Not from shipping,Tolex was perfectly smooth.I just happened to touch the back and my hand went thru to the padding. LOL......
Dings and dents all over. Lid did not close properly,
Much better case out there, Cases are no longer cheap, you get what you pay for. Lesson Learned.

I purchased the Alvarez DC1 Arched Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar Hardshell Case for my 40 year old Alvarez Dreadnought. Nice looking case, but the fabric outer cover is like a magnet to dirt, scrapes and smudges. The case is very light in weight which makes me wonder how many layers of plywood were used and just how sturdy in will be to protect my guitar. The interior is nicely padded and my guitar fits securely. Finally, the case only has four latches. Other acoustic cases I have purchased have six. While the price was reasonable, I wonder if I will be buying another one soon.

I have two of these cases.One protects my takamine EG523SC and the other protects my Alvarez PJ85SC while they are different models they are constructed the same.A very good case for the money and great protection for my guitars.
