This is the second best sounding cable I've ever used on a bass, the other being an Analysis Plus Oval I received from Warrior Guitars a few years ago. They are very similar in tone but the Oval has a slightly clearer high end. I purchased the Bass Oval hoping for the same sound just in a black cable for aesthetics sake. I'm very pleased with the look and sound thou it is still a very thick cable. These are professional cables for professional use, don't expect it to make a $400 bass sound like an MTD, not gonna happen. Nor will you notice an appreciable difference though an inexpensive amp or sound system. I primarily play Warrior Basses though an Avalon U5 and monitor through an Aviom with Westone ES 2 custom mold in-ears. With this set-up I can hear a great deal of difference between cables. I prefer the Analysis over Monster, Mogami, George L's etc... It has the clarity and definition of the George L with a much fuller low end. It brings out all the frequencies from Low to High, very open sounding, it lets the true sound of the instrument shine through. The improvement in sound is also very apparent in our house sound system, a Myers line array. A / B-ing cables using Pro-Tools, the difference I hear in my ears is also in the house mix. It sounds great with a Villex pick-up equiped passive 5 too, so not just an active bass thing. If you like low-fi, or the sound of dead flat wounds you might want to save the cash, otherwise this is a great bass cable!
Best feature is great sound!
Very well constructed, no problems with near daily use.
Expensive but comparably priced to other high end cables, just much better!

I'm officially an Analysis Plus faithful consumer. This cable brought me one step further from bedroom jamming to studio quality sound!
This cable is fantastic, not only a great cable for bass, but it works great for my electric guitar, and I'm sure it would do wonders for my acoustic electric guitar! That being said, it's just a cable. xD
This cable is amazing. I run it from my Ibanez BTB675 into my Ibanez Promethean (soon to be GK MB Fusion) and let me tell you, the definition is AMAZING! I A/B/C'd between the dinky cable the came with the bass, a decent cable from a local guitar shop and this, and the difference was astounding! The stock cable was noisy and had a LOT of loss in the higher frequencies, and my other cable was less noisy, but still required me to bump up the highs quite a bit to get a good slap tone. This cable eliminated that need. It gives a very nice, even response across all frequencies, with a noticibly louder output. I actually used it on my guitar that used to require a boost in order to get anything heavier than an ACDC tone, and with this thing my output was high enough to drive my tube amp into everything from DIO and Iron Maiden to early Ozzy. And the cable is THICK, gunna be hard to break!
The price is VERY steep, and I wish it wasn't, but if you run a rig that only require a couple of cables then DO NOT HESITATE!!! If you run a complex rack set-up then you might consider a cheeper alternative, but if you have the money I would still recommend these, as they will give you the strongest, most accurate signal which is essential in long effects chains.
