Easy to use spring loaded clip with enough pressure to keep a mic in place. The swivel goose neck is a great feature that allows you to position your mic in any direction. I've used these specific clips on many different kits with ease. Only one time over the past 6 years have I encountered a problem where the spring loaded clip on did not fit the rim a drum, that was on a custom set of Shine Drums. With the goose neck however, I was able to clip the mic on a seperate drum piece and bend it to where it should be.

If you don't use these to clip your mics on drums then what are you using???

I love Audix drum and vocal mics. That being said, do not buy the D-Vice drum mic mount. It does not work. No matter what I tried the mic would move every time I hit the drum, ending up resting on the drum head or rim. I cannot recommend this product in any way. I still love and use Audix drum and vocal mics.

    Cons

    • Difficult To Use
    • Not Functional

    Best Uses

Comments about Audix D-Vice Drum Microphone Clip:

Despite the relaltive ease of attachement the mic holder places the drum mike considerably inside the drum head making it difficult to play in various positions. They are difficult to position correctly as the upright arm is stiff and not very flexible. Audix makes a nice set of "clip-on" holders which are much easier to use than these...the one's I use came with the drum mic set. If you can find these..Use 'em. They are much easier to use and more flexible. My D-vic holders are going back up for sale on e-bay..

              AWESOME

Comments about Audix D-Vice Drum Microphone Clip:

I bought two because I couldn't afford them for all five of my toms. These things are awesome! If your reading this then you probably know how annoying cheap drum mic clips can be, like the ones that come in drum mic packs. Sturdy, stiff, and flexible, you can get these on any drum (including die-cast hoops) with any angle and they don't budge. They work with any mic, assuming you have the actual clip that holds the mic. Highly recommended for those tight spaces on a kit.

Comments about Audix D-Vice Drum Microphone Clip:

These mic clips are not very good, first of all, you can hear all the viabrations of the drums through the mics. then, they dont stay. there make everything too limited. i sugjest getting some stands...it will reduce the noise of the mics.

Comments about Audix D-Vice Drum Microphone Clip:

I like the idea of these, but they are not that sturdy (the section that attaches to the drum is plastic). I've bought 4 for our church, 3 have been broken so far and had to be replaced.I also have noticed that the mic can get dislodged from the neck and twist around while playing. I will probably buy stands instead (it'll be cheaper in the long run.

Comments about Audix D-Vice Drum Microphone Clip:

I use these quite frequently and haven't had a problem with them yet. The goose neck adapter makes it quick and easy to adjust so my drummer doesn't hit my mics, yet I still get great mic placement. My only complaint would be the price, but overall I find them worth it.

Ok I Don't know what all these clowns are saying but this is the best thing I have every put my money into. Yes it's alittle pricey but man does it pay off in the long run, it has a very stong hold on the rim and nice gooseneck with is very stiff.

Comments about Audix D-Vice Drum Microphone Clip:

The idea is great, the functions are easy to use, but the quality is poor. the clip is spring-loaded and the clip is also plastic so its anytime until it breaks. But for now it works great!

Comments about Audix D-Vice Drum Microphone Clip:

I have used these clips for awhile, and as long as you know how to put on and remove them, they won't break. The thumbscrews can be tightend tightly to keep gooseneck where you want it. The Nady drum mics work the best with these as you don't have to use the clip part, and can screw the mic right to the mount once you've removed the clip. Would be nice if they were 5-10 bucks cheaper though.

Comments about Audix D-Vice Drum Microphone Clip:

I wish these mounts were better than they are. Plastic parts are OK, but the cheesy little thumbscrews fall out and don't give me much confidence. Mic threadmount doesn't stay in position particularly well either. There is no anti-vibration mechanism (like rubber grommets) to isolate the mic from the drum. Overall, these mounts strike me as something that generally works, but are poorly designed. Until I see something better, I'm using a standard mic stand.

Comments about Audix D-Vice Drum Microphone Clip:

The Good - Love the flex arm I don't like my mics hogging the head space, you can back em' out or pull em in. Also height adjustment, very cool! Easy clip on to the rim... The Bad - Plastic *One Down* Broken. You gotta make these out of a tougher material! Giggin drummers need something that will take the abuse night after night... The Ugly - the price (redesign em' and I'll dish out the $$ for 4). AnXiouslY awaiting a new design :)-~

Comments about Audix D-Vice Drum Microphone Clip:

I gig frequently and have had no problems mounting, positioning, or tightening these clips. Construction is fine, easy on and off, lots of possible positions. Mic will not move if you put it on right. It is a little overpriced, IMO. An overall good product.
