I is satisfied.
usually foam is way more expensive, but you get plenty of foam for a medium sized room. if you have basic knowledge of were to place it (behind the speakers and do some mental trig) then you'll have a great sounding room.

REMEMBER!!!!!!!!!!!! ok i'm tired of people complaining because these aren't designed to control bass frequencies! DUHH! theyre MID-TREB range foam! you gotta have bass traps to trap the bass!
perfect. i would play a metronome pretty loud in my room to see how bad the echo was, and it was a pathetic flutter echo that sounded like a fender spring reverb with a 2 second tale haha

remember, i didn't use all my foam yet, i still have 8 more sheets to place in my room, but today i listened to the metronome and the flutter is cut down by like 90% no lie! also the tail is divided by like 8. and the decay of the echo/reverb in the room is cut down WAY. i'm trying to keep this simple but long story short it works really well.

i wish it didn't rip so easily but you win some you loose some. thats the only reason why i gave it a 9, but thats just personal standards lol most people dont hang them on the wall with thumbtacks. NOT recomended lol unless its a temporary job
exelente. BUY IT

The only thing Auralex is good for is removing high end reflections. In your studio though, that is the least of your problems (LOW END REFLECTIONS). Do your self a favor, save up a little more money, buy some OC703, and make some BROADBAND absorber panels. They will absorb all frequencies.. Not just the high end.

total crap waste of money, don't bother

Comments about Auralex Studiofoam Designer Kit:

If you want noise/echo reduction, DON'T BUY THESE. They may disrupt the lightest of reverberation but won't stop a strong sound wave. Do some research on sound forums, you'll see that you need large panels of heavy material (some construction paneling or dense cotton is usual) to do anything to dampen sound.
The box comes with plenty of foam that you can use to "dress up" your studio or practice space, but that's about all it does. No significant reduction of sound is gonna happen with these tiles. The tubes of goo that came with it are worthless too. I had to go and get some Liquid Nails because the tiles kept falling off the walls.
Like I said, no significant reduction of sound or noise. These don't provide any isolation, and the echo reduction is a joke. Oh, and the adhesive is just useless.... did I already say that?
Only buy these if you want some useless asthetic wall padding.

Easy to install, attractive looking, very effective, and inexpensive. The complete kit includes a quick-setting adhesive, so installation was pretty quick. No complaints.

Auralax studio foam

Comments about Auralex Studiofoam Designer Kit:

Again, they are functional and they look unbelievable.
After 26 years I decided to give my home studio a much needed face lift. The old carpeting on the walls came down, Sheetrock was replaced, the whole online yards. The finishing touch was the studio foam. I ordered two kits which included 32, 1' X 1' panels, as well as the adhesive to apply to the back sides. Not only are the squares functional beyond my wildest expectations, but they are beautiful. I ordered the purple, and they are even more vibrant than the picture shows. Longe story short, the studio makeover turned out great, cosmetically, and functionally, and a big part of it was due to applying these panels.
These panels are very good quality.
The price for the panels and adhesive was a good value.

Comments about Auralex Studiofoam Designer Kit:

For best results got to the auralex website and READ. I think some of the people bought buy price and not for the application. Bass wedges for........bass. duhhh . Diffussors to diffuse. Come on guys research what your buying. The products work. I use them in my drum room and vocal section. I use the products that get rid of what i dont want in my recordings.By going to the website you'll find how much of your room needs to be covered for the desired effect. P.s. DON"T USE EGG CRATE or MATTRESS FOAM. Unless you dont care about the sound and looks.

Auralex...AWESOME!

Comments about Auralex Studiofoam Designer Kit:

I received this kit with a recording package i purchased. The best part about it was that it was a free gift from Musicians Friend. I'm setting up a home studio and was eventually going to need something to help contain some of the sound and reduce the echo of my room. Auralex is great for this. It really cuts down on the echo and makes the room sound better. Don't expect major sound proofing or anything like that, but these pieces do what they were designed to do. They don't cut down on the bass frequencies, it's probably best to invest in some bass traps for that. However I did place these in the corners of my room, going up and down from the floor to ceiling, and it did help some.Get this now, you won't be disappointed!

Foam will not fix your problems

By Greg-0k2Dx

from Portland, OR

Comments about Auralex Studiofoam Designer Kit:

The Auralex Studiofoam Designer kit is certainly better than nothing if you can't afford anything else, but cheap foam will not solve any of the bass problems in your studio and eventually you'll end up tearing it all down for something better. Look for products made with rigid fiberglass instead of foam, which will absorb all frequencies and not just the high frequencies.
