Axis AX-A

Comments about Axis A Single Bass Drum Pedal:

I just received my Axis AX-A Pedal today... Right out of the box it played great!I messed with the adjustments but found it was set up just right straight from the factory. This thing did just what my foot told it to do with no effort. Smooth, easy and built to last. I read some complaints about the price, but you know what they say, "You get what you pay for." I've played several styles of pedals over the years including high end DW stuff but this one is the best! I also read that this pedal takes some getting use to... Not true, at least for me. This thing is a perfect fit! Great job Axis!

This is a GREAT pedal.

Comments about Axis A Single Bass Drum Pedal:

I have 2 of these and I love them. It's light weight, gets excellent action and is a great design. You just have to make sure you don't lose or remove the 2 circular black rubber bumpers on the top front, or the threaded rod for the mounting clamp will over extend and rub a gash on the side of the toe piece. I recomment this pedal to anyone from beginners to the pro's. It's an EXCELLENT, fast, responsive and well made pedal. Only gripe (very small one) is that it only comes with 1 beater mallot and it's a hard cannon! For the $, I think they can give you another as well, or a reversable head with one padded side.

Axis A

Comments about Axis A Single Bass Drum Pedal:

The Axis A pedal is without a doubt the best bass drum pedal out there. The bearings make it the smoothest, the materials make it the lightest, and the balanced design make it the fastest. I recommend this pedal to any drummer who is looking to improve his sound. Some would say that it is too expensive, but for a pedal that lasts forever, it is well worth it.

Hands down the best single pedal

By The Snazzman

Comments about Axis A Single Bass Drum Pedal:

I've had this pedal for over a year, and it is hands down the best pedal I've ever owned in 20 years of playing. It makes my DW pedals look like toys. It feels so solid. There is NO - zero - lateral movement on the board, and the action is amazingly consistent. It will be the last pedal you ever buy. Worth every penny - seriously.

Good bass pedal

By Rush77

Comments about Axis A Single Bass Drum Pedal:

I got this on for christmasand I first I hated it. Compared to my last pedal it bounced back to fast. After a hour or so you get the feel of it. It can do double bass beat andall that other good stuff. Not to good for all you heavy/death metal players. Would recommend to anyone who respects the bass drum.

Simply the best!

Comments about Axis A Single Bass Drum Pedal:

I've been playing drums for over twenty years, and I have never used a bass pedal as amazing as the Axis. That's a strong statement, but I'm prepared to defend it.To begin with, I've always preferred direct-drive over chain-drive pedals...Having played for years on Speed Kings, chain-drives feel slow and clunky to me. There's always just that TEENSY bit of lag as the slack is taken out of the chain, and then must still engage the sprocket. I do not play chain pedals for this reason. The Axis more closely mimics the "immediate" feel of the old Ludwigs - LOTS of speed and control. You push it, and it responds just as quickly as you do. It's totally organic...It moves and rebounds just as quickly as your foot...sometimes faster! You'll discover you're capable of complex double-strokes and quick-beat patterns you could never previously do with a lesser pedal. Also, all its parts are machined of structural-grade aircraft aluminum, so it's not just EXTREMELY resistant to wear and abuse, but it's about HALF the weight of a comparable DW 5000. Do the math...Less weight to push with each stroke = faster pedal = less fatigue. It's also lighter to lug to gigs, and cutting weight from the hardware bag is ALWAYS a plus. In addition, the thing is HYPER-adjustable. From spring tension, to beater depth, to footboard length, to the variable drive lever adjustment, the Axis can be made to FEEL like any pedal while delivering much better overall speed, performance, and consistency. It's just amazing. In short, this thing can do anything. It will take all the punishment you can dish out gig after gig and bounce back asking for more. It's maintenance- and hassle-free. And it POUNDS. I've got mine loaded with a wooden beater on a Tama Starclassic Performer Birch 20"x22"" kick shell, and it rattles the windows a block away. This is your next, and last bass drum pedal. I can't reccommend it highly enough...It's THAT good.
