This case features molded plastic for the metal clasps to latch on to. After a span of 3 months, the plastic wears down, and the hinges easily slip open. Needless to say, this causes the case to fly open when you least expect it, risking the horn falling to the ground. However, the case has a cool enough appearance. It holds the horn securely, and the molding inside seems sturdy, although it leaves absolutely no room for extra things (music, stand, etc.) I definitely recommend buying something with stronger clasps than this poorly designed case.
If your in marching band, or are a gigging musician that will carry your horn alot, dont get this case, if your gonna spend the money, get a nice pro tec case. I'm in marching band and I can only fit my horn, my mouthpiece, my slide sprayer, and a brush in the case. And the way the case is put together is really bad, I can easily pull it apart into to two pieces. But if you cant afford anything else(because I know its what comes with the TB300 tromobne)...then treat it nicley and it should be fine...I geuss
