I bought the Beato Pro 3 5 Piece Fusion Bag Set and two Gator bags. I have to stretch the Beato's over the drums, they have no padding, and I feel like they will not last or protect my drums. The Gator's are far superior. They have lots of room, nice thick padding, and feel like they will last.
Don't get me wrong. If money wasn't an object, these wouldn't be my first choice. However, with the great padding, heavy-duty material, and industrial-strength zippers, these bags are perfect. Don't throw them in the back of the truck or anything, but these are great for transporting across town. Keep your drums lookin' good for cheap. This is a purchase you will not regret.
These bags are quality made, but those that have rim mounts may want to reconsider buying this set. They fit, but it's tight.
this is an awesomem product. they keep your drums from getting all screatched up while you are gigging and with teh bags, you can throw the drums in your car without worring about them getting damages. THESE BAGS ARE WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!
I've had the bags for about three months now and after a lot of use they are holding up extremely well! They are quite roomy but not roomy enough for me to store my toms with the rims mounts attached. They are obviously not meant to protect from drops or being banged into stuff real hard but they DO protect my finish from getting scratched.
First off, I am not a Beato employee, nor am I an endorser. I was in the market for some cases or bags for my considerably large kit (2 22" kicks, 10/12/14/16" toms, snare, an ICON rack, and 11+ cymbals!); a daunting task on a modest gear budget. I looked into cases first. SKB are great, but it'd be cheaper to buy new drums! I looked into NOMAD as well; they?re similar to fiber cases I had for an old kit of mine, and I hated those. Moving on to bags, I was skeptical. I mean, how much protection can a bag provide? Will they last? I did a lot of research and came to the conclusion that Beato was the best bag in my price range, based on years of testimonials and road tests. I chose the Pro 3 Curdura bags, and took the plunge. All I can say is, my fears, while valid, were unfounded. Beato makes these Pro 3 Curdura bags the best on the market (and among the least expensive). The workmanship from the stitching, to the padding, to the zippers is simply superb. You will not be disappointed.
