First of all let me dispatch all of the bad reviews of this product. You pay $85 and you get a cool functional tuner. You want perfection, spend $400 on a Peterson! The other thing is, If you do not set the tuner up correctly you will have issues as stated in a couple of the reviews. One thing that I found out right away is that it DOES NOT like active electronics! If you plug straight into the tuner with an active bass it will not tune correctly and is very slow or will not read at all. It is best to tune active basses through your amp and use the tuner out from the amp to input your tuner. Then it works fine. Passive basses or guitars have no issues unless you are running through a processor before the tuner. If you do that it will react slow. The other thing if you are tuning a bass using the bass setting, it will not read half steps or if you are not tuning 440. What I mean is, If you tune down to Eb you have to use the chromatic setting unless you transpose down a half step. It really does work well for basses and guitars. Just take the time to learn the settings for your usage.

I have never owned a good tuner. I have a cheap "snark" clip on tuner (that actually does a great job) and an old seiko handheld chromatic tuner from the early 90s. As a bass player, I don't go out of tune often, so its never been an issue ...
I recently switched my rig over to a rack unit, so I thought it would be cool to add a rack tuner. Since its never been very important to me, I thought that a cheap unit like this would be OK.
The bottom line is that this tuner is not very responsive, even when plugged into the back of my amp (tuner out jack). It is possible to use it to tune my bass, but my other two afore mentioned tuners work much better. Honestly, I'd trust my $10 clip on Snark tuner over this thing.
When you play an open string, you have to wait for it to register. It is not responsive, its slow. I don't have that problem with cheap tuners, so I don't understand why I would have that problem with this one. Also: The LEDs on the front are very dim. In a well lit room it is hard to see the flashing indicator. Now, at a gig this won't be an issue, because any club or bar is going to be poorly lit ...
... So yeah, I returned this item and then I bought a used Korg ... couldn't be happier.

Comments about Behringer BTR2000 2-Channel RACKTUNER and Metronome:
Bought this to mount in my bass head rack. Can never tell if its working or not. The unit is slow and most of the time it doesn't hear the low E.
Wouldn't recommend to anyone. It's hard to believe that an electronics company would release an item that doesn't work. I guess they forgot to test it.

Comments about Behringer BTR2000 2-Channel RACKTUNER and Metronome:
Bought to put in my rack for convenience. Doesn't pick up the E string, slow response on everything else. Half the time I can't tell if it's working. Very frustrating, considering this technology has been around for a long time.
Who releases a product that doesn't work?

Comments about Behringer BTR2000 2-Channel RACKTUNER and Metronome:
Great value and display.
I needed a common tuner connected to board for display in small studio for 2 to 4 players. Easy to read from 15 feet away. I like the "fine" and "chromatic" settings, 1% or 5% per LED in the display bar provides two dramatic, go with the 5% to rock and 1% to intonate a guitar.
Quality is good.
Great value for large display.
Comments about Behringer BTR2000 2-Channel RACKTUNER and Metronome:
Would recommend this unit.
Just received this product & I'm happy to report that it doesn't suffer from the slow response lag noted by some reviewers.
I love it - no problems tuning my Cort 5-string bass....!
Rack-light is superb & all the modes work fine/easily.
Seems well built/clean/un-marked etc.
Amazing bang-for-buck...!
Comments about Behringer BTR2000 2-Channel RACKTUNER and Metronome:
The tuning light is slow and very slow to reset. Will not tune to Drop C even in Chromatic. Not a good product. I returned it for a refund
Comments about Behringer BTR2000 2-Channel RACKTUNER and Metronome:
Bought this a while ago thinking, hey Behringer couldn't screw up a tuner could they?Well, It works sometimes but tracks very very poorly. Sometimes you have to hit a string for a good 10 seconds before it recognizes what pitch it is and a lot of the time it displays the wrong pitch/jumps between different pitches. These problems make it almost useless in a live situation where you cant hear your guitar while tuning and have to rely on what is displayed. Save your money and buy a legit pedal tuner
Comments about Behringer BTR2000 2-Channel RACKTUNER and Metronome:
One reviewer said "I am a bass player who searched forever for a rackmount tuner with these features in this price range."I am not able to get the E string in tune with this unit. I tried 3 basses a Fender AM Jazz, a 4003 RIC, and a 4 string Lakland. The 'E' simply does not show up on the LCD. I keep trying or send it back and stick with my $40 Korg. I wanted a rack mounted tuner where are they?
