First of all let me dispatch all of the bad reviews of this product. You pay $85 and you get a cool functional tuner. You want perfection, spend $400 on a Peterson! The other thing is, If you do not set the tuner up correctly you will have issues as stated in a couple of the reviews. One thing that I found out right away is that it DOES NOT like active electronics! If you plug straight into the tuner with an active bass it will not tune correctly and is very slow or will not read at all. It is best to tune active basses through your amp and use the tuner out from the amp to input your tuner. Then it works fine. Passive basses or guitars have no issues unless you are running through a processor before the tuner. If you do that it will react slow. The other thing if you are tuning a bass using the bass setting, it will not read half steps or if you are not tuning 440. What I mean is, If you tune down to Eb you have to use the chromatic setting unless you transpose down a half step. It really does work well for basses and guitars. Just take the time to learn the settings for your usage.

I received this thing a gift. I was thinking that this thing is cheap but how bad could it be. It's just a tuner. Even if it's a cheap tuner, it's a tuner and what harm could there be in that. I had an empty rack space so I thought I would fill it and put the Sabine Pedal Tuner on the shelf. Looks great, the bling factor is in but OMG!!! the thing makes so much noise when I turn the gain up on my amp. I can hear what sounds like processor clock whining. Very bad piece of equipment. As a stand alone it's ok but you'll need a bypass switch/pedal since this unit doesn't have one. You have to send your signal through it at all times and that's where the problem is. It's just very noisey. You might get away with it if you play a clean signal on a low gain non-tube amp (I don't know). I've got two tube head amps and they both reacted exactly the same way. Turn the gain down, no problem but really get on it and the thing seems to bleed into the amp circuitry or something and makes the most gaawd awful noise. It's back to the old pedal for me. This thing is going back! It just doesn't have to be that difficult.

Comments about Behringer BTR2000 2-Channel RACKTUNER and Metronome:

Great value and display.
I needed a common tuner connected to board for display in small studio for 2 to 4 players. Easy to read from 15 feet away. I like the "fine" and "chromatic" settings, 1% or 5% per LED in the display bar provides two dramatic, go with the 5% to rock and 1% to intonate a guitar.
Quality is good.
Great value for large display.

Would recommend this unit.
Just received this product & I'm happy to report that it doesn't suffer from the slow response lag noted by some reviewers.
I love it - no problems tuning my Cort 5-string bass....!
Rack-light is superb & all the modes work fine/easily.
Seems well built/clean/un-marked etc.
Amazing bang-for-buck...!

Comments about Behringer BTR2000 2-Channel RACKTUNER and Metronome:

I am a bass player who searched forever for a rackmount tuner with these features in this price range.Yes, the various featues can be a bit daunting and overwhelming for the unititiated user. Yes, you can indeed play out of tune with your band if you mistakenly program the unit to do so, or just simply ignore the easy to understand manual altogether. What a great tuner for the price coupled with a nice lighting feature.Buy one and enjoy tuning in either "Fine" or the less picky "non-Fine" setting. My tuners are always set out of the audio chain, and this gives the unit a total non-noise signal coming or going.

Comments about Behringer BTR2000 2-Channel RACKTUNER and Metronome:

Bought this to mount in my bass head rack. Can never tell if its working or not. The unit is slow and most of the time it doesn't hear the low E.
Wouldn't recommend to anyone. It's hard to believe that an electronics company would release an item that doesn't work. I guess they forgot to test it.

Comments about Behringer BTR2000 2-Channel RACKTUNER and Metronome:

If you tune your guitar in standard E, this tuner will work great for you. If you tune below that look elsewhere. I rated this so poorly because I have $15 pocket tuners that will tune to just about any key you ask them to. Why couldn't this rack unit do the same?

Value at the price

Comments about Behringer BTR2000 2-Channel RACKTUNER and Metronome:

I bought this tuner for my home studio. It does not gig (so I can't speak for how durrable it is). I don't have it connected to anything. It tunes everybody (the bas player, the guiter player, and the rythem player) from the front panel mic. I can see why another review had a problem with tuning an acoustic from that mic as the sensitivity is weak but with amplified instruments it works great. I have not used any of the features the manual said this unit has. You can see the display from across the room. The guys that come over to jam have gotten used to just checking tune between songs by looking over at the rack. Nobody brings a tuner anymore. Where else can you get a rack mount tuner for this price?

Comments about Behringer BTR2000 2-Channel RACKTUNER and Metronome:

I got mine about two weeks ago and I love it. It's great to be able to hit the mute button and tune silently. It reads the signals from my guitars (both acoustic and electric) with no problems. It picks up pitches via the internal mic pretty easily, too. The rack lights are a nice bonus as is the metronome.

Comments about Behringer BTR2000 2-Channel RACKTUNER and Metronome:

I just got this today, but rest assured, it has already been put through its paces. I tested almost every 'bad thing' I have heard about this product for about two hours. My signal chain is a Traben Array 4 bass into a GK 800 RB with the tuner running through the effects loop(all running off a furman power conditioner). Using the second channel of the tuner and it running on bass mode, I have had no problems with slow note tracking. It also reads down to drop D fairlly easily. There is 0 deifference in tone when using the tuner and the lights did not add ANY noise. Quality appears solid, but cannot varify as it is only a day old. My only complaint is that tuner is very picky. Tune untill the light hits green most of the time and you're good.
