I needed a CV pedal to control a Peavey Delta Stomp. I researched several and settled on the least expensive. Not crazy about the plastic construction, but I do like that it's heavy enough to stay anchored to the floor. Pedal travel is 40 degrees which makes fine tune adjustments easy, but reduces it's effectiveness as a volume pedal or wah-wah in the CV mode. Must use TRS plug for CV mode. I notice a slight delay in reaction in the normal mode which makes it unusable as a volume pedal.

I used this pedal as a volume pedal with my Sho Bud pedal steel guitar and Yamaha keyboard. I noticed that the "sparkle" in the high frequency ranges was as if the "treble" control had been turned down. The full toe down volume was not as loud as bypassing the pedal and going directly to the amp input. I do realize that the Amps gain could be adjusted up to make up for the loss of volume and the treble could also be tweaked to make up for the "highs" lost also but it was annoying to me that the pedal did not allow a mirror image of the audio in to pass through to audio out. My other pedals are Dunlop HyGains and I will be going back to them, I ordered another new HyGain today to replace the Behringer which will become a second backup pedal.

Comments about Behringer FCV100 Dual Mode Footcontroller:

This is a nice pedal for the price. I play guitar in a Christian contemporary band & praise & worship band. It sits a little too upright for me but that's just a preference. I've had no problems with it at all.

Comments about Behringer FCV100 Dual Mode Footcontroller:

Contrary to other reviews, this pedal does work as a MIDI continuous controller when running in CV mode. You have to be sure to use output 2 and have a 1/4 TSR cable plugged into input 1 (even if nothing is connected to it) in order to power the pedal via 9v battery. Input 2 is innactive when running in CV mode. Works great with iPad apps such as Amplitube.

Comments about Behringer FCV100 Dual Mode Footcontroller:

After a lot of research, this pedal was supposed to work connected from output 2 in VC mode to a midi device pedal port to be used as an expression pedal. It doesn't work, not even with a TRS cable (with the leads flipped as well). I got tired of trying to get it to work and bought a regular expression pedal and viola! The FCV100 is really nice and would suit me fine, if it worked for my use case. I think it should be made very clear that this is not and does not work as an midi expression pedal, CV mode or not.

I bought this controller to act as a volume pedal for my Casio Privia 310. I hooked it up and was disappointed on how it altered the quality of the tones coming from the Privia. I can not recommend this product.

This product is junk. So sad Behringer gives German engineering such a bad name (Albeit only 'conceived' in Germany).Sucks tone as a volume pedal. Physical range of pedal is far too much, approx 40 degrees of travel is ridiculous. Purchased it to use a CC controller, it works fine as such but it squeaks as you are using (after only 5 minutes out of the box)! What a joke. Decent gear does not cost 25 bucks, there is a big reason that it is cheap, I'm the fool, I should have known that. It's a shame Behringer have to make such a fool of themselves like this. I was considering one of their mixers but I'll spend the extra and get a Mackie.

Comments about Behringer FCV100 Dual Mode Footcontroller:

I've had this pedal for around three years. I mostly use it with acoustic and electric guitar to switch from rhythm volume to lead volume. This pedal is built very well, and has never given me any mechanical trouble. The battery lasts for months (I use the pedal 2-3 times a week). Here's a couple of features I wish it had, and is why I'm shopping for another volume pedal.1. I wish the volume control was flat all the way from heel to toe. The pedal seems to have a big volume change in the toe position, and not nearly as much toward the heel position.2. I wish it had a minimum volume adjustment that has a drastic effect. The only thing I can tell this control changes is the difference between no volume in the full heel position, and very little volume in the heel.Because of these limitations, I find myself working within the last ten percent of the finicky toe position, trying to find just the right mix. When I'm playing a fast bluegrass song at 150bpm, singing harmony at the end of the chorus and needing to jump right into a solo, I don't have time to ease my foot down onto the pedal and finesse it into the perfect level. I need: full heel=rhythm, full toe=lead. And I want the ability to change it to heel=off, toe=on, if I want to use it with my electric guitar for things like volume swells. A very good quality pedal, but hard to deal with if you play fast music and have to make fast, accurate volume adjustments.
