Shim the neck! Especially if this is being installed on a Telecaster. You won't end up with the right action or intonation if it's not done. This was not stated on the directions. You might be able to put a pick in the neck pocket but to do it properly you need to construct a shim that fills the whole pocket with the right angle which may require more professional tools than what is indicated.

Added to my 2006 Fender "Highway 1" model, along with a Mastery bridge and Vintage Vibe pickups, it sounds AMAZING! These are worth every penny. Built like a tank.

I put this unit on a Vintage Modified Squire. After upgrading the tuning machines to Grovers I have a truly Vintage Custom Tele. With the Fender Logo on the Bigsby you don't even notice the Squire Headstock. Actually this guitar has now become a '70's "Fender" New Yorker with the Humbucker in the bridge. Also the Bigsby helped give it an awesome tone.
