Comments about Bill Lawrence A245C Acoustic Guitar Soundhole Pickup:

good pickup for the money. easy to install. can switch to other guitars as needed. purchased due to failure of on board electronics on my Taylor. Not using to replace Taylor electronics (which I will get repaired eventually). I have 4 other acoustic guitars and pickup usable on any of them.

Comments about Bill Lawrence A245C Acoustic Guitar Soundhole Pickup:

I've owned this pickup before & have an OM/GA sized acoustic. It's 93mm across the sound hole so normal sized humbucker sound hole pickups won't fit. I knew this one would because of its spring. That really saved the day! The volume control on the pickup is very useful. It has the hum rejection of a regular humbucker but doesn't have that 'thick' sound. It works great with acoustics & of course you'll have to cut the mids to get 'that' tone. Great pickup for tight places. EZ in, EZ out.

I installed this pickup in my Deering 5 string banjo and love it. I have tried others but they all made my banjo sound like a cheap electric guitar. This pickup does a much better job than a microphone. It sounds best thru a guitar amp.

Comments about Bill Lawrence A245C Acoustic Guitar Soundhole Pickup:

i purchased this pickup for a Gretsch parlor guitar and based the purchase on the fact that Elliott smith loved em and his sound with them through a dreadnought was fantastic. plus it says they are able to fit in smaller bodied guitars. well it fits VERY tight so i had to remove the volume knob but it sounds fantastic! volume is low due to it being passive but just crank it n your good. also keep in mind the pic shows a black chord it comes with a red chord which in my opinion is less aesthetically pleasing but hey it does the job.

Comments about Bill Lawrence A245C Acoustic Guitar Soundhole Pickup:

I like this pickup very much, even though there is no active preamp. I have to raise my inputvolume on the PA mixer channel because of the output being fairly low from the pickup. I use the guitar w'Bill Lawerence A245 pup direct into my Bose T1 mixer w/ Bose L1 Model 2 system. I like the flat clear sound without any feedback. The highs are nice and clear and lows are nicely blended. I do not have any low feedback provblems as in the past and only sit or stand 5 ft from the Bose tower. I will probably end up installing a 1/4" input on my guitar's endpin and permanently mounting this pickup to my Epiphone Hummingbird. The volume control is nice for muting the guitar when not playing and works well to adjust on the fly.
