Comments about Black Diamond Black Coated Phosphor Bronze Mandolin Strings:

I liked the tone of these very much. They lasted about 2 months of non-professional use. I wish I could get more but they seem to be out-of-stock most places that will ship(at reasonable price) to Alaska where I live.

Wonderful mandolin string

By

from Northern Michigan

Comments about Black Diamond Black Coated Phosphor Bronze Mandolin Strings:

Why don't more people use these? They get rid of all the annoying "new string" overtones and sound clean and pure from the time you put them on , till the A string gets hard to tune (the only indication they are going bad). They have great bass response and mellow the highs without muting them. On my mandolin (an eastman 615) nothing sounds near as good. How long do they last, you ask? With regular playing of an hour a day, these strings last about 2 months, depending on weather.

Good mandolin strings... for acoustic

By

from New Jersey

Comments about Black Diamond Black Coated Phosphor Bronze Mandolin Strings:

These are some nice strings, they sound great... but I was unaware that they have loop ends, which makes stringing my electric mandolin difficult. I broke both of the e strings putting them on but the rest have held up pretty well.
