Comments about Black Diamond Light Gauge Black Coated Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings:

These strings have such a look, especially on my Eastman E20D Sunburst. Sometimes the audience even doesn't see I have put strings on my guitar! In terms of tone: they have a very dark, subtle & warm sound which is typical for phosphor bronze strings. There still is a difference in sound between coated and uncoated strings, even between roundwound & flatwound & roundcore, but these strings really make your guitar sound folky & pleasant. Less volume if I were to compare them with for example Elixer 80/20's, but so what!

Comments about Black Diamond Light Gauge Black Coated Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings:

i kind of took a flyer on these (partly because i met my wife and was married in sarasota fl. where they're made)but they have been a wonderful addition to my taylor 314kce which i play on sunday mornings at our church worship services. they have a little bit of warmth to them which balances out the inherent brightness that my taylor has. the only minor gripe i have is that after about a month of playing the black coating is starting to erode slightly over the sound hole where the pick scrapes the strings, but they still sound terrific

Some of the Best Strings I have ever played!

      By Kimo Kaulani

Comments about Black Diamond Light Gauge Black Coated Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings:

The coating on the Black Diamond Light Gauge Black Coated Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings makes them easy on the fingers and prolongs the life and tonal integrity of the strings much longer than with other strings I have played.I am a record producer and depend on great sound from everything I use, so the Black Diamond strings exceed my needs at every turn in the studio. For the money, the quality and tone of Black Diamond Light Gauge Black Coated Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings are at the Top of the game.

      Longest Lasting Strings

      By Vintage Martin Player

      from Lexington, Ky

Comments about Black Diamond Light Gauge Black Coated Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I have used every major brand of string out there for acoustic guitars. I use to change strings every week, and tried a different brand every time. These strings sound great, and they keep their tonal quality for a long time. I highly recommend these strings to anyone who likes that old country or bluegrass sound. The black coating does wear off where you pick, but unlike the elixers, the coating doesnt fray and cause deadening or buzzes. Do not confuse the black coated strings with black diamonds normal guitar strings. The regular strings suck, in both longevity and tone.

      Very nice sounding...

Comments about Black Diamond Light Gauge Black Coated Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I'm very surprised to find that these strings sound and feel almost like the Martin SP phosphor bronze lights that I usually play. Plus, they look super sexy on an ebony fingerboard!I only gave them an overall of 8 because they're pretty high priced and the black coating was chipping off the B string before I even put them on my guitar. I assume this is a fluke and I'll try another set soon.If there was a sound and playability category they would both be 10s!
