This is one great footswitch. I use it with my Boss GT-8. This switch has switchable polarity and setting between latching and non-latching for each switch/button/actuator. So I thought, what else can I use it for. I have a Vox AD30vt amp. The original vox dual footswitch although cheaper is very noisy. Latching type and makes a loud CLUCK-TUCK noise each time it is pressed. So I set the Boss FS-6 to Latching type. Don't know what polarity was set but i plugged it into the Vox ad30vt amp and Super ! I can now control my amp without the vox noisy switch that i already returned. Super quite function on the FS-6. It is electronic. It uses a 9 Volt battery. (included with a new switch). I can switch channels and turn FX section on/off. The next thing I did, I plugged it into the two footswitch connectors on my M-audio Blackbox. Works super with that too in non latching mode. Polarity does affect functions. so set it correctly. Being assignable for various parameters, the FS-6 is a huge help for both the GT-8 and the Blackbox. Highly recommended for anyone looking to buy extra sinle or dual switches for amps or effects. This switch should work with lots of other amps, efx etc too. Next I will test it as a sustain pedal with my Oxygen midi controller. Has stereo connector and two mono connectors. Can use either.

I use this with my Boss RC-2 loop station. I kept thinking it would be good to have more foot-switchable controls and tap tempo. All of this works great. Now for the problem; it needs a 9 volt power source and doesn't have a DC input most boss pedals come with. This can be fixed if you have a Godlyke battery clip cable which will allow you to connect your power source to the 9-volt battery connection underneath. But this means having a cable running underneath your pedal and removing the battery casing permanently. If you have a pedal board this is great you probably velcro your pedals to the board like I do and this isn't a problem. If not, you'll have to spend a lot of money on batteries.

Comments about Boss FS-6 Footswitch:
This footswitch gets the job done if you have a 1/4 inch jack footswitch input instead of a MIDI input. I bought this for my Bogner Fish Pre-Amp because it did not come with a footswitch. The latching feature is great, gets the job done. It holds the selected channel instead of you having to hold the footswitch down to activate the selected channel. The only downside is that there is no 9 volt plug-in for the amp, it is run by a 9V battery. There is no way of hooking a power supply up to the footswitch. Other than that, this is a sturdy and pretty well built product.

Comments about Boss FS-6 Footswitch:
I purchased this footswitch to use with a Roland Cube 20 practice amplifier. I was initially concerned about the price, but upon delivery, I was greatly impressed with the versatility of the switch.
I content that this switch is universal, so it can be used with nearly any piece of equipment, so long as that equipment has a jack for a footswitch.
1. The switch has selectable polarity, so it can be used with a wide range of manufacturers,
2. The switch has both latching and momentary operation, so it can be used with various types of equipment (recorders for punch in/out, channel selection, tap tempo, effects, etc.)
3. The switch has both balanced and unbalanced 1/4" outputs, so no adapters are needed.
4. The switch does not accept loop power from the equipment being controlled, so you will have to install a 9V battery. Mine was included.
5. The swicth is built into a metal case, like Boss effects pedals, so I believe that it is truly road worthy. It also has some weight to it, so you don't have to worry about kicking it off the stage easily.
Overall, the cost is not too bad, considering this should be the last footswitch I ever have to buy.

Comments about Boss FS-6 Footswitch:
I picked this up to tag along with my Boss RC-30. It's like having an extra hand. Allows me to trigger effects with the left foot click and allows me to easily switch to track 2 with the right click. I definitely recommend this for this type of application.

Comments about Boss FS-6 Footswitch:
Only observation that I have is that the switches nomenclatures could have been more explicit such as to polarity, etc. Also the manual could have been a little more explicit in that regard. It is't hard to figure it out; not exactly rocket science. Overall I am well pleased with it. When used with the Air Turn AT-104 to turn pages, it takes some getting used to. Kind of like driving a stick shift after you have driven an automatic.

Comments about Boss FS-6 Footswitch:
This pedal is just what it says it is. I use rechargeable batteries with it -- which is somewhat necessary in my opinion, as you cannot operate the pedal (for sustain, anyway) without a battery installed.
Comments about Boss FS-6 Footswitch:
Overall a very great product
I am very happy with the Boss A&Bswitch. Works great!
For the $$ it is the best you can get
Comments about Boss FS-6 Footswitch:
This foot switch is well built and has all the options you need in a switch. Seems a little pricey to me, but time will tell on that.
Comments about Boss FS-6 Footswitch:
If you have a BOSS GT 6/8/10 then first get an extra expression pedal. If you still want more options then get these. Am very satisfied with these footswitches. What they don't tell you in the manual is that you need stereo cables to use both switches simultaneously. So you'll have to get one if you're buying this.
