Save money on batteries

| Review By: Michael Sole | 3 months, 3 weeks ago

Features:

Its a plug...

Quality:

This is what scared me a little. I really didn't want to have to buy batteries for my ME-70 and "compatible" adapters scared me so dispite what I read that the quality was poor I bought it anyway. After examining it closely I can say it appears to be made about as well as any other adapter I own, if not better. I have to say I am not a gigging musician; more of a studio guy, so perhaps in a road scenario it doesn't stand up as well but that could be said about anything, really.

Value:

There are 2 reasons to get this:

1. Never have to buy batteries again

2. If you use it with the ME-70 (and probably any other pedal), it shuts off the device once you cut power to it. This means you don't have to unplug the input jack. I have it hooked up to a rack mounted "rack oft switches" so I can turn it off with a quick flip. I hated the fact hat I had to plug and unplug the input chord all the time. Again for a gigging musician this is much less of an issue. Chances are you would want the battery advantage for the cordless point.

Overall:

If you are a studio guy or a hobbyist, this plug makes a lot of sense. While its kind of pricey for what it is and I saw comparable "knock offs" for the price range, it just didn't make sense to risk my $$ ME-70 for a little price difference. And now I know I have MF and Boss to stand behind me stuff.

Trim and Slim

| Review By: Cosmo Mancieri | 4 months, 1 week ago

Features:

Hey, it provides 9 volts to my pedals the way any other adapter would, but its best feature is its trim and slim design and the positioning/placement of the plug prongs. The PSA-120S adapter when plugged into a power strip because of it design does not overhang and cover the adjacent outlet like other bulky adapters do, allowing for another PSA-120S to conveniently plug in beside each other.

I currently own 3 other PSA-120S adapters and they have performed flawlessly for well over a year.

I am continuously plugging and unplugging them into my pedals, and thus far I have had no problems with the tip or wiring on any of them. If you don't abuse them or try unplugging them from your pedal by yanking on the wire I don't see why the PSA-120S would not last you a long time.

They are a real space saver on my power strip and I would recommend them to anyone looking for the same.

Quality:

The are sturdy and well constructed of heavy duty durable plastic, and the plug prongs which are molded into the plastic are sturdy and tight as well.

Value:

I think they are well worth their cost. I have purchased others which only lasted 7-8 months or the plug prongs began to loosen and ultimately failed -- and then there was the inconvenience of their bulkiness covering the adjacent pwer strip outlet. The PSA-120S is the way to go!

Overall:

I like its trim and slim design and the direction it faces when pligged into my power strip, but my only negative comment about the PSA-120S is the plastic device attached to the power cord is a bit big and bulky -- I wish it could be made smaller.

Bummer, Very Cheaply made Product

| Review By: Mike Hasamear | 6 months, 2 weeks ago

5 people out of 5 found this review helpful

Features:
Quality:

The power supply has never left the practice stage, it has been plugged in to one outlet and it failed after 6 months of ownership. This is very cheaply made. I would suggest finding another power supply.

Value:

Not a good buy for the money, you have to replace it every 6 months.

Overall:

Look for a better option,  this one is not good
