Comments about Celestion G12H 30 Watt Anniversary Vintage Guitar Speaker:
Like one of the reviewers, mine is not from England. To have an image up that shows a stamp implying that it was built in England is the typical hedging. It is easy to check. Just look at the speaker at the bottom of the back and if it says '"International" in it, it is not built in England. The rating I gave it does not reflect this directly. That is, I rated it only on what it sounds like.
This speaker came with the egnater 15 watt Tweaker combo. I thought "cool". I am sorry, but the various "greenbacks" are much better, and I tested it in the egnater mentioned. This G12H is not a horrible speaker, but it is not great either when compared to the greenbacks. It may just be me, as how a thing sounds is probably 30% completely subjective.
The speaker is not a bad buy. It depends on what you currently have. But, the greenbacks are so much better.
Comments about Celestion G12H 30 Watt Anniversary Vintage Guitar Speaker:
I chose the G12H along with the V30 to replace my stock Wolverine speakers in my TSL-602. A lot of people would say how "muddy" my TSL sounded with the stock speakers, but I guess I had just become accustomed to it. What a difference I noticed once the speakers were changed to the G12H / V30 pair. I play a lot of AC/DC, Maiden, Priest, Rush, Zep, and Sabbath and these speakers sound fantastic. I get a lot of clarity and a beautiful growling on the bottom end that just puts a smile on my face every time I play on the E,A & D strings. I play a Gibson Les Paul and a custom Carvin and use a Holy Grail nano reverb on the lead channel through the effects loop for solos and the sound is surreal. On my crunch channel I'm running a DynaComp straight through the front of the amp. All of these elements come together to produce the sound I've been looking for. I scored the speaker as a 9 on quality because I've only had it for about one month so far.
Comments about Celestion G12H 30 Watt Anniversary Vintage Guitar Speaker:
I bought These to replace my G12L's that are in my MG 4*12 cab. I only replaced two of the speakers and good lord my cab is so loud now. Great quality and sound, But just not for me. I play metal and with all the saturation in my sound, they can get a little flabby. But on my friends dsl crunch channel they sound GREAT. Cut through the mix in any band. These speakers are so LOUD.

Installed in a vintage 1966 Blackface Deluxe Reverb this speaker is LOUD, warm, sparkly and has punch...My custom shop tele with Lollar pickups sounds tight and articulate, never muddy and gets great sustain without a pedal or effect...Again this speaker is LOUD...When compared with the Weber 12 F150, the Celestion has a tighter low end and a little more sparkle on the high side...Both are excellent speakers....I can see this speaker getting even better post break in.

At the time of this posting the photo depicting the G12H 30W 70th Anniversary speaker still indicates "Ipswich England" on the label. England of course has become a legend in the speaker manufacturing industry thanks to Celestian, so you can imagine my dismay after receiving two of these speakers to find the labels missing the English stamp and displaying "Made In China" on a sticker on the side of the magnet. This may mean nothing to some but to someone like myself who tried to make it a point to buy product manufactured outside of China, this came as a disappointment although not completely surprising. I phoned Musician's Friend about it who told me what I expected to hear, this is, Celestian has two plants, one in England and one in China - both manufacturing to the same exact specs etc. I told them they should at least change the picture on this webpage. Having said that the G12H 30W DOES sound very good as I expected they would. They handle more clean power than the G12Ms do at 25W and yet are warm and punchy and overall very nicely balanced with a singing lead. I just wish my labels said merry 'ol "England" on them!!!
Comments about Celestion G12H 30 Watt Anniversary Vintage Guitar Speaker:
I inherited a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe a few years ago, and tried some things to wake up the tone of this amp. After re-tubing it with EHX 12AX7s and Svetlana 6L6GCs, I was starting to hear good results. Then I changed the stock Eminence speaker with the G12H... and I was blown away. This driver has exceeded my expectations as far as tonal range and clarity are concerned. My Fender combo now has a very boutique sounding clean channel with plenty of headroom. The combination of the upgraded tubes and speaker give this amp an awesome, vintage-sounding overdrive. This has become my number one recording amp. Do yourself a favor, spend the cash and get the G12H. You won't be disappointed.

I recently retubed my Peavey Windsor Studio, and was left still wanting for the tone I was looking for.I decided to replace the Blue Marvel speaker with a Celestion, but was unable to get my hands on a Greenback,so I purchased a G12H 30 watt.I could not be more happy with my decision. It brought my little 20 watt tube amp to life, with the tone I was looking for.Everything in the discription of this speaker is accurate and I will not hesitate to purchase more of them when I upgrade the speakers in my 412 cabinet. They are a little pricey, but well worth it in my opinion.Thanx Celestion!

These cones have the tone of the classic 70's metal bands. Put these in your cab, and watch out! I replaced my celestion 75 watters with these, and my TSL just smokes!!!! What a difference! Forget changing pickups!!! Speaker replacement is the way to go!! Holy!
