I own an older Marshall Lead cabinet with these puppies loaded in it. They handle tons of volume and not only can you hear them but they're the type of speaker you can feel when you push them. They push air and project sound from a distance better than any other speaker on the market. The trade off for extreamly tight low end sound is a lack of raspy fuzz aound you would want to hear but don't get from these.I paired two Greenbacks with two of these and WOW match made in heaven. These speakers are great alone but for a fuller sound I suggest matching them up with either a vintage 30 or a Greenback. You will then create a much fuller sound spectrum doing this.To describe this speaker if it were a surround sound system, this one is the sub woofer with tons of tight low end that's very loud!

Comments about Celestion G12T-75 12" Speaker:
I like the G12T75 as they are the sound of thrash metal. They have a good amount of thump to them. For high gain tones, I feel that they excel at these. If you have a brighter amp (high mids) such as a Peavey 5150 or most Marshall's, they can help balance that out. They sound very good with the 5150/6505 amps. It's strange because I feel that the matching cabinet for a 5150 sounds awful.
Cabinet design plays a larger role in the sound that most people would think. Some cabinets can make a speaker sound harsh or muddy. Don't like the sound? try a different cabinet. The G12T75 sounds great when mixed with the Vintage 30. This is the same combo used in the Bogner Ubercab. That alone speaks wonders for it's capability.
Speakers are like pickups and guitars, it's all very subjective to who's listening. I do believe that the G12T75 costs more than it should. Eminence speakers are a better value. That doesn't mean the G12T75 is bad though.

Comments about Celestion G12T-75 12" Speaker:
I feel this speaker is the ideal compliment to the vintage 30. It hands out lower mids that the V30 lacks. I do my recording with one mic on this speaker and one mic on the V30 to yield a sound that's greater than the sum of their parts. Only rated the features as a 3.0 because it's a speaker: it has only one sound.

purchased this speaker as an upgrade to my Bugera V22. Very happy with it - seems to have a overall warmer sound that the stock Bugera speaker.
Comments about Celestion G12T-75 12" Speaker:
When I first installed them, I couldn't tell a difference between them and my stock speakers. Once you get on stage, you gotta mic on the cab, and you can really let em loose you won't be disappointed. They are VERY clear and pure. These speakers can take a ton of volume and still be defined. I highly recommend them. I will say this: I suggest putting them in a deep cab (like a Behringer Ultrastack) it gives them more breathing room and they will sound better and be better protected.

I replaced my marshall MG cab with 4 of these and boy do they sound awesome being pushed with a Peavey valveking all tube head. They love volume. the louder you turn up your amp the better they sound. amazing speakers in all. if i didnt get these my next choice was going to be the Vintages 30s which i think im going to buy and mix both celestions together in my cab. overall Amazing speakers
Comments about Celestion G12T-75 12" Speaker:
I have a Peaver Studio Pro 112 Transtube 65 watt amp that was fitted with the standard speaker - a 12" Blue Marvel. The amp sounded pretty good, but I wanted better. I was faced with buying a Fender Twin 100 watt amp I couldn't really afford. Instead, I fitted an Eminence Gamma speaker which didn't sound as good as the original. I then fitted a Celestion G12T75 speaker and it blew me away. It's more sensitive, punchier, louder and better balanced than the Blue Marvel. In fact, it sounds so close to the Fender Twin that it's hard to pick the difference... it is even very loud at volume setting 4! It has a very bright, clean and punchy sound, and is incredible with a little distorion... very Clapton/Cream sounding. A fantastic speaker indeed, and not expensive.
Comments about Celestion G12T-75 12" Speaker:
I swapped 2 of these speakers from my Marshall 1960A cabinet into my new Crate GLX212 combo amp. The amp sounded very good before, but now sounds GREAT!!! Also, the higher you turn it up the better it seems it sounds-before, it didn't necessarily sound better when pushed the volume. The difference was in the speakers itself. These speakers LOVE volume. They were mean't to be cranked.
Comments about Celestion G12T-75 12" Speaker:
It doesn't really do anything to the sound. Some people like that. Useful for modern non-vintage sounds. Not as midrangey as most Celestions.
