Comments about Clayton S-Stone Sharp Guitar Picks - 6-Pack:
WITHIN LESS THAN A MINUTE, I REALIZED, THIS WAS THE PICK I ALWAYS WANTED. IM SIX FOOT TWO, 225LBS, IM A BIG GUY, WITH BIG HANDS, AND THESE ARE GREAT FOR LARGER HANDED PLAYERS. LOVE JAZZ SHAPED PICKS, AND THE SIZE OF THESE WORKS GREAT FOR ME, AS I HAVE LONG SLENDER FINGERS, THEY FEEL ABSOLUTELY GREAT WHEN PLAYING!
Comments about Clayton S-Stone Sharp Guitar Picks - 6-Pack:
Overall the best sounding and playing pick I have used in 30+ years of playing and teaching, and I have used many.
I love this pick, and can't believe more players don't use them! For years I used Dunlop Big Stubby's and more recently V-Picks, and I believe these are the perfect cross between the two, as these are the same shape as the Big Stubby, but instead of being made of Lexan, they are made out of acrylic, like the V's. A-B'd, I and my fellow players, can't tell the difference in tone or volume between these and the V-Picks, other than the fact that these don't chirp or click as much as they do. These also have a much better grip than the V's and Stubby's, with raised dot's and an indented surface on both sides of the pick. I have not tried the 3mm ones yet, but do use both the 2mm and 2.50 and think they are both terrific, with the 2.50 being slightly brighter. Great for acoustic too, as they strum very nice also.
The quality of these and other Clayton picks are second to none, and cost little to no more than Dunlops etc.
You can get 6 of these for less than one V-Pick, so give them a try if you like these or the Big Stubby.
Comments about Clayton S-Stone Sharp Guitar Picks - 6-Pack:
These picks were fine. The plastic doesnt wear very fast at all, which is great. But they get REEALLY slick and hard to hold onto. Although if you don't have to play very fast, this probably wouldn't be a problem. Thank goodnes for the textured grip.
Comments about Clayton S-Stone Sharp Guitar Picks - 6-Pack:
An odd pick [2.5 mm green]. Very hard plastic but not as polished as Big Stubby. The short edge bevel forms a crisp ridge which does the job great if you stick to a flat angle and don't mind clicky. It features a textured grip pad with deep thumb indents that I find awkward. Size and shape a little under standard 351, medium tip. S-Stone was made for rockers, not my style but I recommend it if you like to experiment. You will surely find some special uses--it plays nylon strings with surprisingly quiet assertiveness. Overall, a murky translucent ember like a pinch of kryptonite.
Comments about Clayton S-Stone Sharp Guitar Picks - 6-Pack:
I've been comparing tons of picks going against this new clayton (Green 2.5 version). Not quite as sharp of a point as the big stubby and has a slightly thicker tone. More musical and less "click" than the dunlop and the raised grips are definately a plus. Dunlop should have thought of this first! Also compairs well against boutique picks with less of that thick-pick "chirp" sound. Also works well on acoustic and holds up volume wise with picks costing 3x as much. 2 thumbs up!
Comments about Clayton S-Stone Sharp Guitar Picks - 6-Pack:
I use tons of picks but the Dunlop Big Stubby 3.0mm has been my favortie for a long time but I just ordered a pack of these and I'm impressed I hate to admit it but I think I now like these more the sound has just a bit more edge to it.
