OVERVIEW

Silky feel, brilliant tone, and incredible string life.

Gauges: 10-14-24w-30-38-47.

Cleartone Coated Ultra Light Acoustic Guitar Strings feature the Cleartone-patented EMP, Enhanced Molecular Protection. This technology makes Cleartone guitar strings unique. With a coating just 500 nanometers thick, Cleartone gives you unbelievable clarity, and your strings will last 3-5 times longer than a standard set. Since their introduction in 2005, Cleartone guitar strings have garnered rave reviews from beginners and industry professionals alike.

Super-high tension winding over a hex-core is used to maintain tuning consistency throughout performance duration. EMP Treatment is then applied to all the strings (including the plain strings) to ensure the longest tonal life without compromises.

Better than Elixers

Comments about Cleartone Coated Phosphor-Bronze Ultra Light Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I used to love elixers for their tone and long life, then I played Cleartones. These bring your acoutic to life like no other string in the world. They last longer and don't flake off like elixers do. Comfortable to play and the sound is ridiculous. Made my epiphone hummingbird sound like a gibson and made my '65 Gibson sound even better.

Great String For Most Styles

Comments about Cleartone Coated Phosphor-Bronze Ultra Light Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I purchased these to see how they compare to Elixir Nanoweb 80-20 extra lights. Because these are pure phosphor bronze, they have a mellower, richer overall sound. Definitely not on the bright side. Rich overtones and best used for accompanying oneself while singing I'd say. Nice for fingerpicking, but not quite as bright or flexible as I prefer. In terms of rating acoustic strings I put them in this order. GHS White Bronze extra lights are the brightest most flexible string I've played and are the closest to electric stings with acoustic capability; Elixir Nanoweb 80-20's are definitely on the bright side but still have a nice bass presence and are also very flexible, Elixir Polyweb 80-20's sound very much like these Cleartones due to their heavier coating and both sets prevail in the bass and mid-range tonality with the Cleartones reproducing that rich phosphor bronze sound that most of us started with. Flexibility is not their strong suit though. I must confess, that the older I get the brighter I like my acoustic sound. Losing some hearing maybe? LOL These Cleartones would suit most players needs quite well, however I've been playing for 50 years and have very specific requirements so these probably won't be my 'go to' set very often. I'm just more into treble and midrange overtones these days and not so much bass. These are good strings though.

BEST STRINGS EVER!!!!!!

By Josh Fenton

from Pensacola

Comments about Cleartone Coated Phosphor-Bronze Ultra Light Acoustic Guitar Strings:

These strings are the best sound you can get. You can get standard gauge sizes for acoustic or these ultra-light gauges which are good if you don't want your fingers hurting too much. The strings really warm up your tone no matter what type of guitar you strap them on. Before we put these on a starter Yamaha acoustic and it made it sound like a more expensive guitar. They sound amazing and they are very durable and last for a long time and stay in tune well also. Yes they are a little pricey but if you take in how long they last you'll be satisfied fully for what you pay. Overall best equipment purchase I have made.

Comments about Cleartone Coated Phosphor-Bronze Ultra Light Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I bought a set of Cleartone strings because I heard good things about them, when I put them on my Ibanez acoustic guitar, they sounded just a but bright, they did stay in tune, the volume wasn't increased by 10% as Cleartone said, and after barely a month, the strings look good but sound dead, and it's annoying me, I wouldn't recommend these strings to anybody, but those who enjoy their sound then who am I to judge...

Comments about Cleartone Coated Phosphor-Bronze Ultra Light Acoustic Guitar Strings:

These strings made my little Guild sound like a totally different guitar. I highly recommend these to anyone looking for the best sound possible for a hollow body guitar. When the manufacture said it increases sound by about 30% they were telling the truth.

Best set of strings I ever put on my valuable Larivee guitar. I am totally convinced these are the best strings yet. I've tried every other brand under the sun. These are by far the best sounding and clearest.
