Gauge .130, single low B
The Cleartone Coated Bass String is made of nickel-plated steel over a hex core. A unique treatment called EMP coats the entire string with an ultrathin protective film. It's the thinnest coating ever applied to bass strings (less than one micron!) and will withstand more abuse from hard strumming than coatings 1000 times thicker! EMP ensures longer string life by protecting strings from corrosion due to skin acidity, salt, and moisture without compromising feel and sound. Made in the USA.
- Thinnest coating ever!
- Dramatically increases string life
- Protects strings from corrosion
- Withstands hard strumming

Comments about Cleartone Micro-Treated Low B Electric Bass Guitar Strings:
It's all about tone. Most round wound bass strings lose that good clear "new" sound after a week or two of heavy playing. Most "coated" strings have a scooped or non-transparent tone. These strings are coated and sound great without that scooped mid range of other brands of coated strings. They allow me to dial n my bass guitar on board eq easily and they last for months and months. I have tried several different brands of bass strings over the years and these are by far my absolute favorites for any type/genre music I play.
