Well, it looks like a coffin and if that's your thing than it will be worth it for you. I personally like the look. However, the construction is cheap and you can get a much better product for less money. The edges don't line up and the latches feel loose when closed. I recommend anything that SKB makes over this. The interior is nice and it fits my Peavey Cirrus very well. I will keep it because I like the design, but if you want a case that is built like a tank to protect your bass, look elsewhere.
This absolutely stunk. It always fell apart and was the worst case I have ever owned.
This is a nice bass case. I like the looks of it.
I really liked this case, and it survived and protected my bass through international airports and a load of falls. Had it for about a year now and nothing's broken off or slacked. The only problem is (especially for the smaller bassists) it's a bit heavy!
I got one for my vintage 75 Jazz bass, thinking its nested construction would give it good protection. Unfortunately, the hinges are flimsy, the latches are not solid and in general it is just a very flimsy case. It DOES look great and if you only use it to store a bass in, it is fine- but for any traveling beyond a friends garage I would never use this. It seems pretty expensive for a made in China item as well. Stock cases have more room for cords etc as well. I wish I had read these reviews BEFORE I bought mine...
Very stout and low price, olp bass, p-bass, and pedulla thunder bass all fit in it.
