it is a great guitar case and i've never had a problem with it. i've used it for many years and it's held its own.
Two of the screws that go in from the outside of the case to secure the inside storage compartment missed the wood completely. I had 2 sharp screw points inside the case. The lid to the storage compartment and the wood it hinges to, were just flopping around in the case. This was the second case because the first one was damaged in shipping.Don't think it's light weight because it's aluminum. This is a back breaker. After waiting over 3 weeks for the first replacement, I fixed it myself. Sorry I bought it, not impressed. The Musician's Friends cases are much better quality. I could have got 2 of them for what I paid for this.
For the cash I don't think I have ever bought a better case. My Les Paul fits pretty good the removable padding is nice.Jekka--
Airline gorillas tore my case up in only 3 trips! They obviously dropped it from about 6 feet up and it landed on one corner. This drove the bottom strap button into the aluminum and left a pretty good dent in the case. The last trip I took, they actually sprung the case so that it doesn't close properly.
I bought this case for the look but it is really solid construction. I plan to use it for travel. It looks tough as nails too...
I took this case on a five city tour with my band. The case did get banged up - but for the money my les paul did not get a scratch on it and that is what really matters to me...!It is a pretty tuff looking case to walk into the airport with...Paul_
