Comments about D'Addario EHR320 Half Round Super Light Electric Guitar Strings:

I've been using Pure Nickel Blues on my G&L Legacy but am looking to liven up the harmonics. I'm trying these and they seem to be a good string but not quite sure if they're what I want. I'm going compare them to the GHS Big Core Nickel Rockers and post an update to this review.

    Awesome Strings

Comments about D'Addario EHR320 Half Round Super Light Electric Guitar Strings:

I have been a D'Addario user for many years now, and I have always liked their product. I have used many other brands over time but keep coming back. These strings rock; I will not buy any other from now on; I am a believer. Great sound, they are very solid and do not stretch, a totally different animal. The difference is very obvious in texture, feel, sond and tone. I am impressed. I would pay more for these they are that good (Please don't tell D'Addario) I hope these stay in production.

    Spendy, But Worth It!

Comments about D'Addario EHR320 Half Round Super Light Electric Guitar Strings:

I can?t believe no one has reviewed these incredible strings yet. The D'Addario EHR320 Half Round Super Lights are by far the best strings I have ever used in over 35 years of playing guitar. I first tried them on a new Michael Kelly Tribal Sun that was supposed to have arrived set-up with D?Addarios but had GHS strings instead. I didn?t care for the GHS strings at all, so I tossed them and ordered one set each of Ernie Ball Super Slinkys (9s), Extra Slinkys (8s) and these D?Addarios. I?ve used both Ernies on other guitars, but these Half Rounds were totally unknown to me. Even though I should have tried one of the cheaper Ernies first, curiosity got the best of me and on went the D?Addarios. Even while tuning, I knew these strings were special, and playing confirmed it! The sound was so crystal clear and sparkling I couldn?t believe it was the same guitar! The second try was on a 1969 Venture ES-335 copy (hollow instead of semi) that I?d had apart for some time. It had sounded great before, so I thought I?d see if the Half Rounds could do anything for it. Pure magic is the only way I can describe it. The Venture?s sustain is much greater than before - I?d guess by at least 30%. Plus, the ol? hollow body is a lot louder acoustically now. It sounds almost as if the body is an inch thicker. In fact, around the house I?m playing it more unplugged than plugged. So far I?ve only installed the EHR320s on these two guitars, but the Tele, Strat, SG, and Variax 300 will be sporting them within the week, and I?ll be giving a couple of the bass versions a try as well - ERN71S shorts for the Mustang and ERN71 longs for the Variax 700. Now, if only they made them for acoustics I?d be set!
