Comments about D'Addario EJ16 Bulk -Pack Phosphor Bronze Light Acoustic Guitar Strings:

This is the way to go. 25 sets of strings per box will keep you sounding good.

I bought a box of lights and a box of mediums (50 Sets).

Changing strings is fast and convenient.

Comments about D'Addario EJ16 Bulk -Pack Phosphor Bronze Light Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I only use EJ16's on my two Takamine acoustics. I play regular 2-3 hour worship sets at least 3 times per week, so I change strings once per week. When I buy the packaged-set version of the EJ16, I don't think I have ever broken a string between my normal weekly string changes, and the tone was always very consistent. With these, one out of six strings would break within the first 24 hours about 30% of the time - just enough to always make me have to take my backup guitar so I didn't get caught mid-set. Also, the tone of these strings were also inconsistent, some sounding "almost dead" right out of the box.

I'm going back to buying the 10-pack, with the strings sealed up in the package.

      D'Addario EJ16 Bulk Pack

      By Michael Firth

      from Sarnia, Canada

Comments about D'Addario EJ16 Bulk -Pack Phosphor Bronze Light Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I was a little surprised by the way the strings are packaged. I had expected individually wrapped sets but these come on a large reel and you pluck desired strings off the reel when changing up your guitar. In retrospect, a closer look at the picture advertising this bulk set shows clearly that the strings are not boxed as sets. This is an ideal setup for a guitar workshop where there is a high turnover in changing strings. At the rate I play and with the number of guitars I use, 25 sets won't last all that long. If you're a weekend player looking for a deal, I would suggest D'Addario's boxed set of 10. However, if you're a serious player, have more than one guitar and like to maintain a nice clean sound, I highly recommend the bulk pack.
I've used D'Addario strings for more than twenty years. In my opinion you will not find a cleaner, purer sound.
If you change your strings often, you can't beat this deal.
