When I first started playing, I was given a set of EJ16s and was told to just get D'Addarios. But I had to learn for myself. I bought all kinds of different strings, and never once found one that compared to these, not even the D'Addario EXPs were worth the extra cash, and nothing else came close to the combination of sound, endurance and playability. I've been playing for many years now and never has one broken.

I ordered these strings because I love d'addario and thought they would be quality, but I really did not like the strings once I put them on, and sadly I had to go through ten sets! They are not terrible but I would much rather spend more on one set like the EXP's and have them last 3-4 times longer and sound a lot better. Overall not bad if you need to save some money but not the best sounding strings you will find

I play both folk & bluegrass, mostly rhythm but with some finger picking, and I have found these strings to be responsive, consistently "in tune", and I have never suffered from broken strings with them. I use them on my Taylor 514CE and my Takamine Santa Fe with great sound.

I USED to play martins on my guitar, but I needed strings so I went down to my local guitar shop and decided to try these, best decision ive made so far for my guitar; they are WAY better that Martin strings, Martins sound muddy and dull compared to these, so get these strings. they are worth it!

Man...I bought a high end used acoustic guitar and whoever strung it before I bought it put horrible strings on it. Made the guitar sound awful. I was hesistant in buying the guitar even though my heart was set on it because of how bad the strings made the guitar sound. I was given these D'Addario EJ16 strings by the salesman at Guitar Center, along with that same guitar and was told to restring it and I wouldn't be disappointed. Oh man, did it make it sound beautiful. I love these strings. Yeah, they don't last long if you've playing gigs constantly. But hey, an active musician is supposed to change their strings often anyway. You won't be disappointed with the sound you get from these. Bright and warm. Everyone loves the sound of my guitar...it'll be hard for me to find something better.

I've been playing professionally for 32 years. D'Addario EJ16's are the "only" strings I use. Why? Because they have a great feel and tone and last for weeks without breaking. My style of playing is solo acoustic hard rock, country, jazz and R&B. If you are looking for strings that don't cost an arm and a leg, stay in tune and don't break after 4 or five songs then this is choice number one. On the other hand if you like paying for expensive coated strings that break often then chose another brand. Again this is a professional choice based on years of trying every string under the sun. D'Addario EJ16's rule!

I'm a working musician. A new set for a gig will not break and holds up for three sets of music. I don't use any other acoustic strings.

These strings are amazing!They have a crisp tone and last forever. The ten pack is nice because you don't have to run to the store every time you want to replace your strings. Lasted me about six months per set of strings.

I've been using D'Addario stings for 35+ years and can't say enough about them. Yes, I've tried Elixr. I've tried Martin. I've tried Ernie Ball and others. But none compare to D'Addario strings. I use these and the EJ-26 on my acoustics and the EXL110 and EXL120's on my electrics. You can't go wrong with D'Addario Strings.

Through the years, I have learned that no two guitars will play or sound exactly the same. Likewise, even D'Addario strings can slightly differ in quality from time to time. Nevertheless, like a Collings, Martin, or Santa Cruz guitar, these strings are usually quite consistent in their excellent overall quality, dependability, and resonance. After trying other strings on occasion to see if there is something better out there, I always go back to using D'Addario strings on my guitars.
