Best of the best

By Greg T

Comments about D'Addario EJ19 Phosphor Bronze Bluegrass Medium Light Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I've used many strings over the years for my acoustic, and kept coming back to D'Addario. Most strings are too bright or break too often. My favorite straight out of the package were DR Handmades they sounded great before being broken in. However I had a lot of problems with strings breaking. I then tried the EJ19 and fell in love. They feel good, are a little bright when first put on but can be broken with about 6-8 hours of play. They also hold up very well without breaking (And I absolutely beat the hell out of them).I'm done searching for acoustic strings, these are the ones for me.

Happy Guitar-Happy Fingers

By John Rebuck

from Seattle, Washington

Comments about D'Addario EJ19 Phosphor Bronze Bluegrass Medium Light Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I play a Taylor 810. When I bought the guitar it had those god awfull coated strings on it. They are what I call "hanging on the music shop wall strings". I started using D'Addario medium phosphor bronze .013-.056 and I loved the bass, but had trouble finger picking and blues bending on the high end. Then I switched to D'Addario light phosphor bronze .012-.053 and the finger picking felt better but the bass was weak. Now I discovered D'Addario medium-light phosphor bronze .012-.056. These strings are perfect. The bass end are medium for the thump-thump, but the top is light for the finger picking and bending. I'm in heaven. I have a happy guitar and happy fingers. Perfect tension, perfect brightness and perfect longevity. D'Addario, you have a lifetime customer.John RebuckHappy in Seattle

Comments about D'Addario EJ19 Phosphor Bronze Bluegrass Medium Light Acoustic Guitar Strings:

Have used them for years. I can put them on and perform almost immediately. Hardly any "break-in" time necessary. They let me play lead, including bending technique, but at the same time boost the bass tone of several guitars that need such a boost.

Comments about D'Addario EJ19 Phosphor Bronze Bluegrass Medium Light Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I sorta kinda maybe torture tested these strings. I had an old cheap acoustic I wanted to update, So I got these and thought "I like D'Addario, I guess I'll try these." I put them on and was astounded. These strings are what I've always wanted. I tried about every brand out there and these are better by a long shot. The tone is SO bright.. Harmonics came to life.. More volume. Anyway, to the torture test. I got these on and played a little and realized my guitar was set-up all funky, and not in a good way. I took off the strings, did some mods and put them back on, no breakage.. Not bad. So same ordeal, I tuned up and thought my action was way high. So, I took off the strings, sanded my saddle some, put on the strings, tuned up, still- no breakage. Okay, so, I left my guitar alone for a day, and I pick it up to play it today, the neck had a bad bow... Ugh, here we go again.. I loosened the strings down a lot, adjusted the truss rod and tightened back up- STILL no breakage. If you're worried about breakage... Don't be. I think it's safe to say these are going to last, and also, they're going to have more tone than about any other string out there.

Comments about D'Addario EJ19 Phosphor Bronze Bluegrass Medium Light Acoustic Guitar Strings:

Wow, these strings are superb. I have bought strings many times before, however before purchasing these strings i did a lot of looking and reading up on the different kind of strings for acoustic guitars. I play a Taylor 110, and i always seem to buy strings with a weak sound. I like crisp and loud strings. I got that with these. I will be buying these from now on. These are so bright, crisp, and super loud. Everything i want in a guitar string.

Comments about D'Addario EJ19 Phosphor Bronze Bluegrass Medium Light Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I bought a beautiful Seagull Artist series guitar about a year and a half ago. I've been trying different strings ever since I got it and still haven't found the perfect set. These D'Addario strings are good for standard tuning and they last quite awhile. I use a fair amount of alternate tunings like Drop D and DADGAD. I find that the high E string is really "droney" and annoying when I'm in a lowered tuning both when I'm finger picking and strumming. So, the search continues...Does anyone have a good recommendation? I'm all ears!

I've used them all. There are lots of really good strings, but these are the best yet. If you play an acoustic, you deserve to know what sounds good. Cut the chase and try a set of these and see for yourself. You will not be disapointed. . demartin

          best strings for larrivee

Comments about D'Addario EJ19 Phosphor Bronze Bluegrass Medium Light Acoustic Guitar Strings:

These strings are the only ones that I can find that make the intonation on my guitar prefect. These strings give the guitar nice lows and highs. Med strings are too heavy and lights don't have the lows but these are perfect. I have tried most the big names out there and for the price, these sound the best.
