Comments about D'Addario EJ20 Nickel Wound Jazz Extra Light Electric Guitar Strings:

These strings have a pretty bright sound but still have some low end kerchunka chunka in them. Hands down the coolest sound I've ever heard for playing metal. BUT if your a lead guitar player or just like to bend strings a lot you WILL need to down tune at least one step. The wound G string plus the overall heavier gauge is very hard to bend without being tuned down lower. The best sounding strings for a metal guitarist period in my opinion. Great for the rhythm guitarist or some serious drop tuning. Their fairly heavy so they stay in tune down low and like all D'addario strings they LAST! You got to try at least one set of these they sound so cool man.

Comments about D'Addario EJ20 Nickel Wound Jazz Extra Light Electric Guitar Strings:

Awesome. Before these, I used Dean Markly 52s. They were good and had a good clean sound but my distorted sound wasn't as good in comparison. These are great on your fingers and have great all around tone. The only bad sides are theres no extras included like with DM and they are almost too strong to cut (but is that really bad?!!) I almost cut off all excess though but that could just be the old pliers. Good strings for good stuff.
