I've reviewed these strings many times. Takamine puts these strings on their new instruments and I use them on my 12's.

Comments about D'Addario EJ38 12-String Phosphor Bronze Light Acoustic Guitar Strings:

These strings are the best. I use them on an Alvarez Jumbo 12. I've tried a few other brands, but none of them sound or play like these. I have never broken a string and they seem to last just as long as those expensive coated brands.
This is a really good deal from MF. Buy them.

I just bought a 1971 Harmony 12 string the strings and the guitar sound real good but I don't think I have enough fingers to make this work.

Comments about D'Addario EJ38 12-String Phosphor Bronze Light Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I use these on my Yamaha amplified acoustic gtr., my Dean Chrome-G Dobro and on my teaching studio guitar (A rebuilt Carlo Robelli). I recommend these to all students and customers at the store where I teach and do guitar repairs. I've used this brand and gauge for decades.

D'Addario EJ38's are the Right Strings

            By Roy Schroedl

            from Upper Midwest

Comments about D'Addario EJ38 12-String Phosphor Bronze Light Acoustic Guitar Strings:

Takamine puts EJ 38's on their new 12-string guitars, and that's good enough for me. The Tak's are great and the strings last a long time without constant tuning. I wish they were sold in value packs like the 6-string packs are.
The EJ 38's have a low amount of packaging, and are color coded.
The EJ 38 strings last a long time and still sound good. I'm not constantly tuning, either.
Keep your coated strings. Not worth the price. I think that D'Addario's EJ 38's are a good balance between price and durability.

            1 little problem

Comments about D'Addario EJ38 12-String Phosphor Bronze Light Acoustic Guitar Strings:

No problems except for the string breaking. Then again, 12-strings are a total pain.
they seem to be on par with the rest of D'Addario strings. I'm not sure how many features a set of strings can have.
I use the Phosphor-Bronze strings with great results on the rest of my acoustics, so I figured that I would try them on my dad's 12-string. The only problem we had was with the 4th string (D). The higher octave string (single-strand, not the wound one) broke while tuning. I suppose this is to be expected when tuning a string that high, but we weren't even tuning the guitar to standard; it was tuned down an entire step to D.

The gauge of this particular string was 0.008", so you would think that it would easily have been able to withstand being tuned to a high C. We ended up having to replace it with a 0.011" high E string from another set.

I have been changing strings for a long time, and it was pretty evident that the string was going to break once I got it tensioned up and close to a C. Once I got around a B it started stretching badly and actually going down in pitch when I attempted to bring it up.
