Comments about D'Addario EJ46LP Pro-Arte LP Composites Hard Classical Guitar Strings:

I'm a string snob and often use expensive sets. This set sounds good and offers long life. I will be using them in a concert in two weeks, and I expect them to perform great. They sound good on one of my classicals, so I will be purchasing them for the other. They are priced right, too.

Great Strings

Comments about D'Addario EJ46LP Pro-Arte LP Composites Hard Classical Guitar Strings:

I like these Lightly Polished bass strings and can say that they last longer than the regular classical hard tension Pro Arte set. They cost a little less and they squeek about 90% less. I love the deeper bass sound of the regular set but can't stand the amount of squeek that goes with them. The recording EJ51 set may even squeek less than these EJ46LP's, but I want to keep as much of the heavier guages as possible on the bass strings. (ie. 29 35 44 vs. 28 34 42) so a little squeek may be better than no squeek...there are two G strings to choose from, one is a 37 new composite material and the other is a 41 clear Nylon. I prefer the 41 Nylon as it sounds brighter to my ear and keeps the feel and sound of a stock nylon guitar (which is why I bought mine in the first place). I have two nylon Taylors, a NS34CE spruce top Sepele back and sides and a NS74CE cedar top rosewood back and sides and both were set up for this set of string guages and sound great with these strings on them. I run direct to the PA and have no real squeek problems playing live and get some nice bright sounds on the trebles. According to the manufacturer, the composit cores on the bass strings require a little more break in time (4 to 6 hrs) before they come alive but they keep their bright sound about about two times longer than the regular strings. I just judge the wear by the fret marks on the bass strings and get about two months wear out of each set (could go even longer). Haven't had one break yet and play every day for at least and hour or two...great strings.
A lot less squeek than normal bass strings
Two G Strings to choose from
Composite bass strings Lightly Polished (LP)
No breaks and bass strings last longer
$3 cheaper than the Classical Hard Set
$4 cheaper than the Recording Hard Set
