DAddario's are terrific. Well packaged and they have a nice chart to show which string set best meets your needs - if you have a dark sounding instrument and want to brighten it up...it recommends the right set, and so on . You can not go wrong with these. Been using for decaded.

Comments about D'Addario EXL110 Nickel Wound Light Electric Guitar Strings Two-Pack:

I am a professional Guitar Tech in my 40th year. While my opinion is just an opinion, I have played every string you can think of from glow-in-the-dark Chinese strings to custom hand made strings. I know infatically that Daddario EXL-110s are the #1 best buy in a regular .10"- .46" non-coated set of electric guitar strings. The way they have been designed and their manufacturing process is second to none. Daddario's winding process ensures not only a consistent string, but one that is not wrapped too tight, so it's not too stiff like many hand-made strings. Switching to an overwound stringlike DRs or even coated strings can lead to needing to reset intonation due to their added weight. Daddarios always has the proper tension for a great feel. Their wound strings are wrapped onto a hex-shaped core string, so the wrap locks onto the core more securly. This innovation keeps the wrap and core tight together, which in turn, keeps the string alive longer. It's brilliant.

The only issue I personally have is with Daddario who is dying to make you forget about EXL-110s and sell you the new NY XL .10-.46 strings (in the all-black package) claiming these strings are harder to break. Honestly, if you're breaking strings at the tuner post, nut, saddle or bridge plate, your axe has a burr that needs to be filed smooth. If you're breaking strings consistently over the pickups or fretboard, that's you being too hard on your strings. Try to remember precisely where the string keeps breaking and tell your tech or Luthier. Remeber to get yor axe set-up twice a year.
