I love these strings and have used them for a couple of years because they're cheap and sound great. I frequently break the 6th string but i guess that could just be due to my playing style. I prefer these strings for dropped tunings when playing experimental rock/jazz/metal.

These roundwound nickel plated steel strings have awesome tone. I play jazz on a strat with a maple neck and I like my tone as bright as possible without being twangy. These strings give me exactly that. I also like the tention of the 11s- high enough for strong single note lines but relaxed enough for bending and playing chords easily.

I used to play .11's when I was a kid, thinking that this is what the greats played and I just needed to get stronger hands. Well, I eventually figured out that the people who play these strings usually tune down 1/2 step, or at least that's what works for me. If you play .10's but want to improve your slide tone and playability, or just want to tune down you can usually just put these strings on without adjusting the action and they will work perfectly. I know this sounds very obvious to some people, but it took me 15 years to really figure out what these strings are for! Maybe I can help a young grom learn the ways of the Jedi a bit sooner...

I use these on my Taylor T5 Custom. They are thin enough to get some great bends and save your fingertips, while being thick enough to stay in tune and give a thick tone when you're strumming chords. They corrode pretty quick, so remember to wipe them down often.

I strung my Washburn semi-acoustic with a set of these D'Addario blues/jazz/rock .011--.049
strings replacing bronze wound acoustic strings. Totally Awesome!!! The third (G) string is plain
not wound which I like. The sound and playability is beyond expectation. Clean,bright and very
bendable.Highly recommend you try them for yourself. Glad I purchased a 3 pack.
