I purchased these strings 2 weeks ago hoping to finally find a go-to set that lasted a while. I love this range of strings in this set. I play about half an hour a day during the week and about 2 hours everyday on the weekend. After about A week I took my guitar out of the case and my D string snapped right at the 12th fret. Even though i am not fond of them my ernie balls lasted way longer and were more consistent but if i was hitting the studio i would load up with these guys because they initially sound pretty sweet. If you are an experienced musician like myself looking for a set to buy everytime and rely on, this is not your set.

Comments about D'Addario EXL115 Nickel Blues/Jazz Electric Guitar Strings Single-Pack:

My Jaguar doesn't like thin strings that sound weak and like to jump out of the saddles during aggressive play. These solve the problem. They sound very good overall... they may (MAY) be a little bright sounding with a touch of thinness, but that could be my guitar and amplifier, too. I do get good tone out of them and they're strong, long lasting and durable. The feel is fantastic, they really fit the guitar well, the sound is at least satisfactory and the sale price is phenomenal. I'll buy more.

They do what strings do and do seem "brighter" compared to some other cheapo brands but that might just be in my head.

Don't purchase if you use heavy picks playing anything with jazz influence. Tone is too thin.

Comments about D'Addario EXL115 Nickel Blues/Jazz Electric Guitar Strings Single-Pack:

I've tried strings of all shapes, sizes and companies. Gauges from 9s to 12s (it was a phase..)

I recently started using D'Addarios on my acoustic and my electric, and this gauge in particular is perfect for what I play on my electric. Not too heavy, and not too bendy, it gives just enough tension to get nice bends and tones. Felt a nice fuzzy feeling inside me when I put these strings on and plugged my guitar in!

New package does not state BLUES/JAZZ ROCK, like old look better. HOWEVER D'ADDARIO rules in my book.

              Best guitar strings bar none!

Comments about D'Addario EXL115 Nickel Blues/Jazz Electric Guitar Strings Single-Pack:

I own, among other electric guitars, an L-4 copy by Washburn for jazz and blues and my local dealer suggested these when I first bought it to replace the factory strings. They have brilliance in their tone, deep resonance on the low strings, and they hold their sound for a very long time. Since I don't use this gem very often, I can actually get by with changing the strings about every 6 months - as compared to every 2-3 months on my Les Paul. I tried the 12's out on it once and there was too much buzz on the low strings due to how my action was set up, so 11's are primo choice for my axe. I will give the 12's their due, however, in that their sound was full, bright and super output on the lower strings - perhaps a bit too much, they are offered at a great price, how can you say no to that? For jazz style electrics (ES-335, L-4, L-5, etc), I would recommend these in a heartbeat! As some have said here before, "Just buy them - you won't be disappointed!" Great strings, great price, great sound, and great value. These babies work!
