10 packs a better value

Comments about D'Addario EXL120 Guitar Strings Bulk -Pack Super Light 25 Sets:

These are actually only 8 cents less per set than the 10 packs! in my opinion, the 10 packs are easier to deal with, stay fresher, & are a better value. the 25 packs are open strings & unless you use A LOT of strings they will go dead before you use them all! these 25 set boxes are more useful to guitar repair people that go through strings quickly.
the freshness issue is a big deal to me, cause since D'addario changed their strings a few years ago.....i barely get 3-4 gigs out of them. I use to get at least a week worth of gigs in summer & almost 2 weeks in winter. i've even gotten dead D'addario strings in the box from musicians friend before!
like everything else nowadays, making things cheaper to keep the prices down as much as possible seems to be the norm! i'd rather pay more for yesterdays quality!!!!

I am a semi professional musician. I have numerous guitars. That said, if you are a REAL player this is the best way to buy strings!!

Why buy one, three, or ten sets of strings at a time? Buy in bulk! You have 25 sets which averages out to the best deal!! BOOM

Comments about D'Addario EXL120 Guitar Strings Bulk -Pack Super Light 25 Sets:

I nearly always put on a new set for a gig, the price per set is nothing when considering giving your best when you are getting paid, I haven't broken a string on stage for ten years or more, because my strings have not already taken a night's beating. And a fresh set feels better, sound crisp.

Comments about D'Addario EXL120 Guitar Strings Bulk -Pack Super Light 25 Sets:

This bulk pack thing is awesome. 25 sets at a cheaper price per set. Would cost me $*** in store. The only problem I had was getting the low e string out. Almost ripped the box appart. I gave it a nine because sometimes this brand breaks for no reason. And the flip lid may not be the best to keep them fresh for long periods of time. But for the avid stage performer it will do well.

Comments about D'Addario EXL120 Guitar Strings Bulk -Pack Super Light 25 Sets:

I've bought this twice now, and it's the clear choice. I have an Ibanez with a Floyd on it and I go thru strings pretty regularly. The box can be a bit of a hassle, sometimes pulling strings out can be a pain, but thats a small problem considering the overall deal. I won't buy strings any other way.

      Great Value; Big Hassle

      By SatchIsGod

Comments about D'Addario EXL120 Guitar Strings Bulk -Pack Super Light 25 Sets:

This is definitely a great value, although I think the price of it has gone up since I bought one about 9 months ago. However there are some other things to consider; the box design is not the best way to keep the strings fresh and air tight. This has not been a problem for me or anything, but it is something to consider. Also, the wound strings are a PAIN to get out for the first 10 to 15 sets. They get caught on each other when you try and pull them out and I actually had to cut open the box and take the thing apart to get them out for the first 10-15 sets. (It folds back together just fine, but it's EXTREMELY inconvenient and kinda defeats the purpose of this product by having to do that)I'll continue playing D'Addario for sure, but I'm gonna be moving back to the 10-packs after I'm done with this box; it may not save quite as much money, however, it's a lot less of a hassle than this and the strings all stay vacuum sealed until you need them.
