What else can I say but my strings at my kind of price.
These strings have the vibrance and tone that I need since I play several kinds of music. I use a V Bass Pro box for tweaking but could easily just play straight into a direct box for all venues from church to clubs to studio. Even when they get a little old and the intonation varies a bit, they are still sounding great.
My strings on my Fender Zone bass give me such a range of sounds that I am thoroughly convinced I never have to try another type unless someone gives me some to try.
Since I change strings at least once a month, finding the very strings I use and have been buying for years at better than half off, is one of the best things I have ever experienced through Musician's Friend. For Christmas and my birthday in February, my main gift suggestion from family is for bass strings. I have a close relationship to a local music store who always gives me the best deal he can. I usually get 2 or 3 sets between Christmas and my birthday but this year I only got one set since the economy is so bad. When I checked MF for a deal and saw the price of 19.95, I was going to order them immediately and had actually started the process when I discovered that price was for a double set! I ordered them and received them in about 3 days. Amazing! I'm set for at least 5 months now and will order again when I see such a deal.

I bought these strings because they're cheap, now I see why. When I got the strings I put them on and was disapointed right of the bat. These strings were bright, but it was that bad kind of bright where it had a very toneless clanking. Once broken in these strings sounded very bad, (That's the only way I can describe the tone). Then within about 1 WEEK, they died leaving behind a trail of dull, horrid, uneven tone. I'd skip these if I were you.

I've used theses strings for 20 years and they never disappoint me. Go ahead and try different brands and types of strings (I do) but you will always come back to the standard, sound is great (a little to crispy when brand new) and the feel of these strings is awesome, they have the perfect tension, they are a perfect match for my Fender 06-P, Ibanez Iceman and Destroyer and my Conklin groove bass. Bada-Bing!

Great price/performance value. Good sound and durability so far. Would recommend to the hobbyist bassist.
D'Addario EXL170 bass strings. Product quality seems good. Strings fit the bass well and are holding up well. Installed on a Rickenbacker 4003 with SD pickups. Very good sound and feel.
Good price on good quality strings.

After each use I wipe them down with Lemon Endust. I get an average lifespan of 3 months out of each set. Would love to add them to the companies i have an endorsement with. Have used them for 32 years. Will use them until they quit making them.

Have tried many other brands they all fall short of this item.

Comments about D'Addario EXL170TP Twin-Pack Bass Guitar Strings:

These are excellent strings - bright, durable and comfortable to play. Unlike the old days where a set of bass strings lasted months, you have to remember to change bright strings more frequently - about every 8 weeks for me. And the two pack is a great value ...
