OVERVIEW

Extended-life, coated steel strings.

Gauges: 11-14-18-28-38-49.

Through advanced EXP Coated Technology, D'Addario has perfected the art and science of the coated guitar string making extended-play strings that sound identical to the renowned D'Addario XL series. A micro-fine layer of concentric EXP coating is applied to the wrap wire prior to winding, resulting in replacement strings that deliver longer life, completely natural tone, and the feel of uncoated strings. Plus, the whole set lasts 4 times longer thanks to D'Addario's exclusive compound-plated, plain steel strings, which offer maximum corrosion resistance. You won't believe they're coated. Includes free extra first string.

Protect your guitar strings from premature corrosion and wear when you order D'Addario EXP-series strings today.

Comments about D'Addario EXP115 Coated Electric Blues/Jazz Rock Guitar Strings:

I've tried a lot of different strings, but finally have settled into d'addario because of their consistancy and nice string coating. Their coating doesn't seem to affect tone, yet extends the life dramatically. I would like to see a set with a 52 bottom and 10 on top.

      They're Elixirs!

Comments about D'Addario EXP115 Coated Electric Blues/Jazz Rock Guitar Strings:

For about a year now, I've used these exclusively on my ES-335, and they just go and go. I'm on my third set, by the way! Another reviewer reports bad luck -- and I'll just add that I've seen the same thing (dead in a week) from Elixer Polyweb acoustic strings. Weird, but I didn't give up, as I knew what they normally did. No black fingers, though. These electric strings even survive my Freddie Green jazz comping, the coating fraying a some where the pick strikes, but they still last on and on. Never had black fingertips, though. : )

      Turned my fingers black.....

Comments about D'Addario EXP115 Coated Electric Blues/Jazz Rock Guitar Strings:

I have used D'Addario strings exclusively for 10 of the 16 years I have been playing guitar. On a whim, I decided to give their coated variety a try- I love Elixer Nanoweb's on my acoustic, and I'm familiar with the technology used. I was expecting two things- number one, a longer lasting string. I was also hoping for the fresh set of strings brightness and sparkle to last longer with the EXP strings. Well, it has been roughly a week. I have only put about four hours time on the particular guitar I stuck the EXP's on. They already sound dull. Like, months old dull. The nail in the coffin is that they turn my fingertips BLACK!!!!Stick with the regular D'addario strings. I can not recommend this product at all.

Comments about D'Addario EXP115 Coated Electric Blues/Jazz Rock Guitar Strings:

These guitar strings are terrible! I suggest avoiding these and if you're going to buy coated strings just stick to elixir. Even if elixir might fray or flake you're guaranteed your strings will last.

I bought these because I liked how D'addario strings sounded but after putting them on within 20 minutes they were already going bad.

I wouldn't recommend these to anybody and the tone wasn't so bad there's worse. Considering these strings go bad quickly you might as well your money on regular strings or buy elixirs.
