These strings are amazing. I wanted to see if coated bass strings would really last much longer and these do! These strings keep that high end bite and growl for much longer. The tone is incredible. The coating also doesn't wear out and fray like elixers do. I'm 100% satisfied with these strings!

I bought the EXP's on the Recommendation of Severo Jornacion aka 'The Thrilla', bassist w/ the Smithereens. I usually use Dr strings, and decided to add a set of DR Bootzilla coated strings to my Jazz bass and compare them w/ the D'Addario EXP's on my other bass. It seems that the EXP's lastlonger and sound better than the DR'd- and they are less expensive... I am a D'Addario convert! They definately outlast conventional strings, and the tone is excellent... if you like Dr strings and are wanting to try coated strings- these are the way to go!

I have been buying d-aderio strings(exp17 coated for my martin h.d.28 vintage heringbone for a couple of years. They out perform any others I have ever tried. So I suppose the bass ones will too. Best strings on the market.
