Special coating extends string life dramatically!

Gauges: 13-17-26-35-45-56.

EXP Coated Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings provide longer life and increased durability coupled with the brightness, clarity and sensitivity you've come to expect from D'Addario strings. Here is how it works: An ultra-fine layer of EXP coating is bonded to the phosphor bronze wrap wire which is then wound onto the hex-shaped core wire. The result is a built-in barrier against the corrosion and wear that can quickly sap the life out of your strings and your sound. And since the EXP coating is cross-linked to the wrap wire prior to winding, the strings sound fresh and bright. New-string tone lasts 3 to 4 times longer than traditional guitar strings.
D'Addario is the world's largest manufacturer of strings for musical instruments. Many top guitarists won't play any other brand. Regardless of your playing style, D'Addario has a set that's right for you.

They retain their brilliance long after similar bronze and brass alloy strings go dead. Don't wait for catastrophe, order several sets today.

I recently got a set of these strings for my acoustic guitar. They are so awesome. They're my first legit acoustic guitar strings. Before i've just used crappy stock strings, and ernie ball electric guitar strings. I love these strings, and now i'm always gonna use these on my acoustic. For those who are unsure about getting coated strings, trust me, you will love them. they're not too terribly different than normal strings. they sound amazing: so warm, so clear, so punchy, just awesome. the feel is equally amazing: so much smoother than normal strings, just a really nice feel. they don't look extremely different than normal strings either, just a bit shinier, trust me they look better. the coating makes them sound better, stay cleaner, last longer, play better, and everything. they are worth the price by far. so from now on i am going to use d'addario exp 13-56 acoustic guitar strings on my acoustic, d'addario exp 50-105 for my bass, and d'addario exp 11-49 on my electric. i will no longer use any string other than d'addario exp. get these guitar strings.

I needed to change the strings on my acoustic guitar. I saw these and read about them, and it sounded wonderful. I bought two sets. They seemed pretty good when i first started stringing it. but when I got to the G string, It just popped. I have tightened strings an octive too high before, so i tried it lower, and to get standard tuning, the strings are excessively loose and sound horrible. i tried stringing it at the same octive again, this time alot slower to allow the string to stretch and it happened again. Im very dissappointed with this, because i really wanted to hear how they played, and also because i have no strings on my guitar now. just watch that g string.

These strings provide a bright, balanced tone for my jumbo bodied Gibson acoustic. They are high quality strings that last and last! Try 'em, you won't be disappointed!

Comments about D'Addario EXP17 Coated Phosphor Bronze Medium Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I bought a new guitar and have been trying out different strings, trying to find what works and sounds best on it. before these, the elixer phosphor bronze had sounded the best. I can't say these are any better, but they are just as good for a lot less money. Phosphor bronze has a warmer sound than 80/20, less aggressive in the mids.

These are great sounding strings at a good price. I used them exclusively while recording my latest unplugged CD, and they sounded like a million bux.

Comments about D'Addario EXP17 Coated Phosphor Bronze Medium Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I find these to be good strings. The tone is fine for me. The coating helps them last a bit longer, but it is not enough of a coating to soften finger noise while sliding on a string...but that's okay with me.

Comments about D'Addario EXP17 Coated Phosphor Bronze Medium Acoustic Guitar Strings:

After using many other brands of strings over the years I have made these my strings of choice. They deliver consistent tone and the sustain is excellent. While I don't do a lot of bending or play with a heavy handed technique, I don't think I have ever broken a single string since moving over to these. Enough said.

Comments about D'Addario EXP17 Coated Phosphor Bronze Medium Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I made the switch to coated strings about a year ago and I won't be going back. I've used D'Addario strings on my basses, electric and acoustic guitars for years. I don't think there are any better strings.

The EXPs are amazing strings. Superb tone that lasts 3 or 4 times longer than conventional acoustic strings. Feel no different than regular bronze strings. Highly recommended for acoustics.

I've been playing for 50 years. I've tried just about every string made. I began using D'Addario years ago because they sound great, last much longer than others, and they don't break. I'm not too sold on their electric strings, but there's nothing better for your acoustic and acoustic-electric.
