OVERVIEW

Special coating extends string life dramatically!

Gauges: 13-17-26-35-45-56.

EXP Coated Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings provide longer life and increased durability coupled with the brightness, clarity and sensitivity you've come to expect from D'Addario strings. Here is how it works: An ultra-fine layer of EXP coating is bonded to the phosphor bronze wrap wire which is then wound onto the hex-shaped core wire. The result is a built-in barrier against the corrosion and wear that can quickly sap the life out of your strings and your sound. And since the EXP coating is cross-linked to the wrap wire prior to winding, the strings sound fresh and bright. New-string tone lasts 3 to 4 times longer than traditional guitar strings.
D'Addario is the world's largest manufacturer of strings for musical instruments. Many top guitarists won't play any other brand. Regardless of your playing style, D'Addario has a set that's right for you.

They retain their brilliance long after similar bronze and brass alloy strings go dead. Don't wait for catastrophe, order several sets today.

I recently got a set of these strings for my acoustic guitar. They are so awesome. They're my first legit acoustic guitar strings. Before i've just used crappy stock strings, and ernie ball electric guitar strings. I love these strings, and now i'm always gonna use these on my acoustic. For those who are unsure about getting coated strings, trust me, you will love them. they're not too terribly different than normal strings. they sound amazing: so warm, so clear, so punchy, just awesome. the feel is equally amazing: so much smoother than normal strings, just a really nice feel. they don't look extremely different than normal strings either, just a bit shinier, trust me they look better. the coating makes them sound better, stay cleaner, last longer, play better, and everything. they are worth the price by far. so from now on i am going to use d'addario exp 13-56 acoustic guitar strings on my acoustic, d'addario exp 50-105 for my bass, and d'addario exp 11-49 on my electric. i will no longer use any string other than d'addario exp. get these guitar strings.

I had Elixir Nanowebs, mediums, on a '71 Guild D-44. After changing to these strings, I noticed a markedly quieter output from the guitar. It just won't make as much noise; I find myself picking and strumming harder, trying to make the guitar sound right...it's a DREADNOUGHT, dude. Don't really work for me, these strings. Other musicians noticed the drop in volume, as well, with hardly any prompting, or none at all.

Comments about D'Addario EXP17 Coated Phosphor Bronze Medium Acoustic Guitar Strings:

Trying to find a string that doesn't rattle after a week of playing, I play in a Worship Band, at Church and other places every weekend. I practice every night. I have used different strings on my Taylor 320e, just trying to find a set that don't have to be changed every other week. I have used these string about a week and so far so good,

I've been playing acoustic guitar for more than 60 years, so I've used lots of strings.
These strings last better than anything I've ever used before.
Got these on a buy one get one free deal, so that made it even sweeter.
Try them, you won't be disappointed.

Comments about D'Addario EXP17 Coated Phosphor Bronze Medium Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I've been playing on D'addario EXP17's for YEAR'S... Ok, a couple times I was compelled by all the hype to try the "Newest, Hottest, String's" to hit the market, but was always disappointed by the poor sound quality, loosing tone (sooner than I was accustomed to) and/or breakage.
I tune my 1997 Custom Elite Ovation guitar down to C# and had found that it was always problematic (one way or another) for strings across the spectrum...
              Except for the D'addario EXP17's.
              I DON'T STRAY ANYMORE (:

I bought a new guitar and have been trying out different strings, trying to find what works and sounds best on it. before these, the elixer phosphor bronze had sounded the best. I can't say these are any better, but they are just as good for a lot less money. Phosphor bronze has a warmer sound than 80/20, less aggressive in the mids.
