OVERVIEW

Retain the brightness and response of new strings 3 to 4 times longer.

Gauges: 10-10-14-14-23-08-30-12-39-18-47-27.

Ultra-fine EXP coating on the wrap wire dramatically increases the life of your strings. EXP Coated Phosphor Bronze Strings provide longer life and increased durability coupled with the brightness, clarity, and sensitivity you've come to expect from D'Addario strings. Here is how it works: An ultra-fine layer of EXP coating is bonded to the phosphor bronze wrap wire which is then wound onto the hex-shaped core wire. The result is a built-in barrier against the corrosion and wear that can quickly sap the life out of your strings and your sound. And since the EXP coating is cross-linked to the wrap wire prior to winding, the strings sound fresh and bright. New-string tone lasts 3 to 4 times longer than traditional guitar strings.

D'Addario is the world's largest manufacturer of strings for musical instruments. Many top guitarists won't play any other brand. Regardless of your playing style, D'Addario has a set that's right for you.

Make the change today, you'll never go back. Coated strings RULE!

Comments about D'Addario EXP38 12-String Coated Phosphor Bronze Light Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I installed these strings when I installed a Fishman Rare Earth sound hole pick-up on my 12-string dreadnought. First time stringing this particular guitar.
Unplugged, these strings sound absolutely great! The highs sparkle and the lows have great tone as well. And they stay in tune or very close to in tune in between sessions. I don't think I would dare switching at this point. I feel like I got really lucky with these strings because I still wasn't sure even after reading the reviews.

Comments about D'Addario EXP38 12-String Coated Phosphor Bronze Light Acoustic Guitar Strings:

These strings are both bright and warm, bringing out the bass as well as the treble. I prefer them to Elixer, they last as long or longer, and are better value. I have used them on both my 1974 Guild 212 XL land my Seagull dreadnaught 12 string, and they work wonderfully on both. The EXP 36 is a slightly brighter string, but the Guild guitar is so bright on the treble end the EXP 38's are a better fit. If you play an hour a day, these strings last 2 or 3 months!

Put on my Providence Guild F212XL and they moved all that wood just fine. Strings sounded bright, with plenty of Guild 12-string boom behind, and coating didn't seem to muffle them. If they hold up OK, will get more.

I have a Takamine 12 string acoustic electric guitar and they factory install these strings on their 12 string guitars. I checked out reviews of some other brands and they got low marks, so I decided to stay with these. I am happy with their tone and their durability.

Last me around 2-3 months, 10-12 gigs. I don't usually think about changing them. After a while, I might notice I'll have to tune a string a few times during a gig and I'll remind myself to change them soon.

It's a pain changing 12 strings, so I really appreciate the length of time these strings stay awesome.

Genuine Phosphor Bronze sound with a promise of longevity. Only had them on for a week, so cannot speak for the longevity.
