When I started to learn jazz, I bought a few different chord books. A case book that didn't fit in my case, another with binding so tight it closed the pages as soon as I moved my finger, others that were just constant page turning to find the right chord. This one handy devise eliminated that for me. I can see some of the problems faced by others, but I had no visibility or stuck screen issues, and I hunted mine down when they first came out. I'm still on the same set of batteries I installed when I bought it all those years ago. I don't use it much anymore and I owe that fact to how useful this gadget is. It put those chords into my memory banks and still serves as a handy reference. I'm now upgrading to the new model with the tuner and metronome. I'll still keep it when I do, and maybe pass it along to someone else who could use it.

It's hard to see the chords on the screen even under daylight. You can't see the chords. Period. Well, you can, if the viewing angle of the unit is right, and the light hits the screen at yet another precise angle. Pyramids & astrological bodies study? Not really. The engineers of this product should have thought of a better screen, a fretboard layout rather than a four-fret view for chords, should have added scales, and definetely should have replaced the touch screen buttons with real buttons. Touching the screen with greasy fingers? It's like trying to change the channels by touching the TV screen. Plus, it would be nice if the chords could have been auto-strummed on the unit and heard thru a built-in speaker. But the engineers of this unit must have been busy designing other gadgets while giving this one a go during the lunch breaks or sth. The idea is good, but the product is not complete. Buy it if you are a collector of all that relates to the guitar. Don't buy it, if you have human vision, adult finger-size, taste and hearing.

I bought one of these a few months ago. When I took it out of the box and put in the batteries, it didn't work at all. The backlighting was the only thing that worked. Don't waste your money. If you want to spend the money, take lessons.
I am totally dissatisfied with this product. I was really excited to have the ability of finding all those chords at my finger tips, but the touch screen won't work at all and it just stays on the chord C major.
My first one of these I bought part of the letters didn't work, So I returned it and they sent me another free of charge, It worked fine, but was harder for me to operate, It has a lot of chords on it, and was helpful, but I had to use the back of a pencil for the touch screen control, I gave it away to someone that needed it worse than I did, I would rather spend a few extra bucks and get the Snarling Dog, I have two of them, less cords on the Dog but it operates better for me.
It came out with very light color of the chord. It's not easy to see.
I like this thingy, it's handy. I love the touch screen, makes things easy. quite overpriced though, I think.
Soooooooooo cool it has all the chords and it is pretty cheap, cash-wise. this is a definite must own for any guitarist. it is easy to use if you know anything about electronics.
Small and light and there when you need it. Belt clip is a nice touch. Worth every penny.
The screen is really hard to see. It's a great idea, but needs alot of work. Don't waste your money on this item. You're better off picking up a pocket pc and finding chord software. I wish I wouldn't have wasted my money on it!
Bought this item on sale. The company should be embarassed to sell these at any price. It should not even be given away free. Total waste of money at any price. It has the chords in it, but, the screen is too small to maneuver in and the backlight is a joke. Lack of light and small size of display makes seeing anything nearly impossible. Very close to useless. Order another model......any other model would have to be better.
I am totally dissatisfied with this product. You had better be quick with the touch screen when changing from one root note to another, and chord types and variants because you only have about 2 seconds before the screen goes back to the previous entry. The display is hard to read even with the backlit feature turned on. Not a wise investment in my opinion.
