OVERVIEW

All the features of the NS Mini, and more, but in an even smaller size.

The NS Micro offers improved accuracy, faster response, expanded calibration range, visual metronome mode and an improved ratchet design. A highly sensitive piezo transducer and easy-to-read multi-color backlit display allow smooth and highly accurate tuning in noisy, dim or well-lit environments while the micro design and reversible screen allow the tuner to hide effortlessly behind or mount on the front side of the headstock allowing the tuner to remain clamped to the instrument inside most cases when stored. A 360-degree swivel mechanism and adjustable padded clamp offer optimal viewing angles and maximum positioning flexibility. As a result, the NS Micro is equally at home on left- and right-handed instruments as well as on small and large headstocks, making it an ideal choice for the widest variety of players and instruments. The NS Micro is powered by a readily available CR2032 battery (included) and provides maximum battery life utilizing an auto-off function, shutting the tuner off automatically after several minutes from power up.

FEATURES
  • Built-in piezo transducer picks up instrument's vibration rather than sound
  • Improved software for faster response and improved accuracy
  • Tri-color reversible backlit LCD screen makes it easy to tune in dark environments while allowing mounting in front or behind headstock
  • Wide calibration range (410Hz to 480Hz) and visual metronome
  • Compact design blends into the aesthetics of instrument while adding considerably less weight than other headstock tuners
  • Tunes acoustic and electric guitars, basses, mandolins, banjos and other stringed instruments

I ordered some more PlanetWaves headstock tuners and these came instead---they're apparently newer/updated models. Still compact, unobtrusive and accurate. The compact design might limit visibility with some placements but it surely contributes to keeping the unit out of harm's way and accidental damage. Small enough to leave on you axe when you put it to bed in its case. They work just as well as the original version with theses added/updated features: (1) Metronome (visual) function, (2)Display "flip" function (useful!), and (3) an easier to use clamp/clip. The battery compartment is, however, more difficult to open than the original version---you may need a pair of needle-nose pliers to apply the proper amount of squeeze and pull to release the battery holder. The good news is that I've been using my original ones daily, for months, and have yet to replace the battery.

This is the first tuner if this type I've used and it works great in the home or where ever there isn't much ambient noise, but it's definitely not a good stage tuner. It picks up every noise on stage, which makes for a difficult time trying to retune during a performance. I found myself having to wait for a quiet moment then hurriedly tuning whichever string was out. For home use, it works well, just not on stage.

disappears on headstock of my old mando, yet is easy to bring on line to tune up. better than running through a clunky tuning pedal. Next, let's see if it works on my bass!

I love this tuner, I have one for each of the guitars I play often. I just leave it clipped on the headstock. It's small enough to leave there all the time and doesn't interfere with the case. It has a little slower response time than a Snark, but is faster than other tuners I've used. People rarely notice it's on the guitar. It even works well with my 12 strings. Best of all they clip on my Ovations with no trouble.

A while back this was the stupid deal of the day and I bought 3 of them.Gave one to my lead guitar player,(he loves it), dropped one and it quit working. Still have the other. I love it.Just figure I have to treat it gently.

I have several guitar tuners so that wasn't the primary reason I purchased this device, though it can be used to accurately tune my guitar. My reason for purchase was to have a silent metronome for use especially for recording. Rather than using a click track, which can often be heard through the headphones in quiet passages, I used this as my silent click track and it worked perfectly.

Well, these things *work* but they are so-so in dialing into the pitch. I have used it on a ukulele, guitar (acoustic and electric), and bass (upright as well as electric). for all of them, it works, but is sometimes glitchy.

This is my first clip on tuner. I resisted them, as they looked too clunky to me , sticking out of the headstock. This mini tuner can sit discreetly behind the headstock, with only the small clip showing. With the colors changing as you get it right, it is good for on stage, where my old tuner was harder to see. So far,it is a nice addition to my set up.

This tuner does everything it claims to do and because of it's size you can leave it on when you put your guitar back in the case. If you are the least bit uncomfortable with the appearance of a tuner hanging off the headstock this is the one to get.
