Comments about D'Addario Planet Waves Pick Ryte Training Pick:

These pics are a great practice tool. They are more difficult to use than regular pick, but that is kind of the point. This is a good pick to use for doing drills, scales, and other practice exercises. It is NOT a good pick for practicing songs on your own or using at band rehearsal or gig.

I've found them most helpful for improving alternate picking speed. I have noticed a dramatic increase in speed and accuracy when switching to my regular pick after doing drills/exercises with this pick.

I will typically run through my drills with this pick, and once I get to a metronome tempo that's too fast for me, I'll switch to my regular pics and get another 5-10 BPM.

They also last a long time. One package would probably last 6 months to a year if you don't lose them.

Comments about D'Addario Planet Waves Pick Ryte Training Pick:

Bought these just to try, and they were not what I was hoping for. The contoured grooves that guide your fingers to the right spot work I guess. However, I get a more satisfying feel from the plectrums I purchased. If you like thin picks they might be for you, but I would suggest filing down the lower groove for your index finger they are just too jagged. They also expose a lot of pick, I mean a good 3/8 of an inch.
