          Comments about Dampit Guitar Humidifier:

I've tried several good humidifers over the years. Then I saw a Taylor guitar tech working with a warp/cracked guitar top. He used 4 or 5 Dampits at a time. After a couple days the damage was reversed. With that amount of humidity generated, I use Dampit exclusively.

Rather useless. Buy the 'super' instead

            Comments about Dampit Guitar Humidifier:

I have been using the "super" for years and didn't realize that the non-super was so small. I got this thinking it was the same as the old one and was very disappointed to find that the sponge is so tiny. It really doesn't hold enough water to be very useful in a guitar. Maybe in a voilin or something it would be ok but this is labeled for a guitar. Anyhow, spend a few $$$ and opt for the "super" instead.

It's simple and effective, and it works just fine on my acoustic Zager. If you live or play where it's dry, this device is nice to have.

                    Comments about Dampit Guitar Humidifier:

After watching a Taylor guitar video on how to bring a top & bottom cracked guitar back to life using 3 Dampits, I bought one. Very functional- easy to use. I also use a room humidifier and a hygrometer. You can make a homemade unit with a sponge and a zip-loc bag. Back to the Dampit- dip in water, wring as much moisture out that you can, towel off excess & install. Easy.

Seems to remove the string-buzz caused by drying and reshaping of the wood from winter heating. An easy solution to a potential problem.

I live in an area that gets very dry in the winter. This product works great. I soak it for a few minutes in distilled water; give it a squeeze to get the excess water out and its ready to use. If you have wooden instruments I would highly recommend that you use some kind of hydration system to protect your investment. Dampit is easy to use, inexpensive and reusable

This is easy to use and does a great job, but you have to check it every day because it dries out fast. I use it on a '52 Gibson ES-125, it's small enough to go through the f holes.
