Comments about D'Andrea Pro Plec Rounded Triangle Picks One Dozen:
This is a great pick for flat-picking guitar. It has nice rounded edges, and a tortoise-like feel. they last a long time and have a darker, softer tone than Clayton picks or real tortoise. Still they are very stiff and responsive.

Been using these for years. They are always consistently good.I used to use the Fender 346 Extra heavy, but Fender stopped making the extra heavies. Looking for a replacement, I found these and never went back. When I bought the Fender picks, they were inconsistent from batch to batch, so I'd have to buy a gross to find a dozen or so that had good clean geometry and smooth points.Because these D"Andrea products are so consistent, That is never a problem. I'f I buy a dozen, I can use them all.1.5 MM is plenty stiff enough.Yes they are deeply embossed and that does help with gripping them securely. I also drill a hole in the center which really helps them stay in place once you find your sweet spot. For a while, I labored under the false impression that pointier picks were "more accurate" or somehow "faster" than regular picks. Boy was that stupid. My guitar teacher showed me how mandolin players do some of the fanciest speed picking, alternate picking ad tremolo picking on the planet. Then he showed me the type of rounded-tip picks those guys use... like these. The difference is immediately noticeable. You can actually hear more fundamental tone. Changing the angle really gives a difference in tones.Picks are so low-profit, most big manufacturers don't care about making them well. They just use them as an advertising platform. And because picks are cheap, I didn't think much about quality until I found these. ALL the D'Andrea picks are consistent, produce good tones and they are not crazy-expensive like Wegan picks or hand made stone picks. You should at least try some of these with your next order just to see why so many pros use them. You might find out what I did.
Comments about D'Andrea Pro Plec Rounded Triangle Picks One Dozen:
After watching videos about other brands and models ie: V-picks, Dunlop Jazz III, Clayton Ultem picks, etc I decided on these. Wise desicion! These picks sound FAT and clear at the same time.I saw a review on these about being mushy, I don't think so.They're a bit pricey but for the quality and sound of these picks they worth every penny!
Comments about D'Andrea Pro Plec Rounded Triangle Picks One Dozen:
The D'Andrea Pro Plec Rounded Triangle glides off each string with precision thanks to smooth, beveled edges. The 1.5mm thickness is perfect and the larger traingle is easier to hold onto with your hand cramping. The surface isn't nearly as "deeply embossed" as they would have you believe. A little more grippability would be nice, but this is an excellent pick with very nice tortoise striations and coloring.I have tried many different picks looking for a smooth bluesy tone, without the cheap pick "click" or a pick that digs into the strings. The D'Andrea 1.5mm Pro Plec Rounded Triangle beats out my Tor-Tis pick, several 1-2mm acetal polymer picks, my Dunlops, and a Cow Horn pick.
