      Light-gauge flexibility, heavy-gauge durability.

Dava Rock Control Picks feature a larger control area and insert molded tips for the best sound. Made from Delrin, a very smooth material that glides over strings for a fast action and is used by rock, jazz, and fusion players. Dava's multi-gauge grip gives you the dynamics of multiple pick gauges on the fly--simply choke up on the tip for a hard gauge or release the flexible center section for a soft gauge.

Finally a pick design that ended my endless searching and rotation through all of the common plectrums.

I don't really get the ridge design and how they say it should be used... Basically for a rock/metal player who's trying to make this work it's just trying to grip as far down towards the tip as possible to get some stiffness and laying back a bit to get some real estate for rhythm strummimg.

I don't know why they haven't offered more versions of this design other than the nickel tip because it's really lacking in some areas for a "rocker."

First, it forces you too choke up too much to get some stiffness and really it isn't quite enough for my tastes. A heavy version of this pick would likely solve much of this problem. Again...Why? Why only this model?

And that leads me to another huge flaw which is the Delrin tip... Simply put... I shred them like stuff through a goose. A normal practice session and it already looks like a knife edge forming...Notice... I said, "normal."

Any pick scraping or other manuevers and you can might as well kiss it goodbye. The base, tip, everything.

Dava needs to step up a little bit and get some more options flowing for the "Rock Controllers" who can't stand the micro pick options. I kinda feel like they have fallen asleep at the wheel when it comes to options for this model.

          This pick Sucks

It weighs more than it should and the borders break as soon as you reach the middle of the song. Definitely not your pick if youre looking to rock.

Comments about Dava Rock Control Delrin Medium:

Only playing for 6 months. Smooth picks kept twisting, especially when moving back and forth from strumming to picking -- would strum and then find I had resumed picking with the fat side near the base of the pick. Instructor provided half a dozen different pick types to help with no luck. Started buyng sampler packs until I found this amazing pick. The raised ridges front and back kept my thumb and finger locked in place. Any movement is easily detected by touch and a slight shift has it back where it needs to be. Backing off to strum allowed the thin middle between the raised areas to flex nicely, and then choking up for picking was guided by the ridges back to a perfect position again. This pick does exactly what I need it to do. I'm surprised by some negative comments by folks doing heavy shredding -- maybe I'm not attacking the strings hard enough to wear the pick down quickly, but for pop, folk or country rock picking/strumming combinations, I have not found anything better.

Over the past 45 years I tried about every pick out there. Almost all the popular ones work just fine; some are way overpriced; some are mere folly and impractical. These are exceptional in that they are very durable, versatile, and give great control whether playing acoustic or electric. I haven't found one that I like any better. By comparison, underpriced.

I can choke up on a medium pick for lead, or pull my grip back for rhythm. What I really wanted was a better grip for when my fingers get sweaty. I thought this pick would kill two birds. The problem I have with it is that the transition between pick thicknesses is not taperedthere is a distinct thickness change and a sort of lip that catches on the string a little and feels strange when strumming. I would have preferred if they could have made the transition between thicknesses continuous instead of sudden.

                excellent pick

Comments about Dava Rock Control Delrin Medium:

This pick is not for everybody... however, if you have a hard time holding onto picks or controlling them due to wrist or hand problems (e.g. shakiness, nerve problems, etc...) then this is the pick for you. I had to switch from dunlop jazz III's, which I have used for about 12yrs, to the DAVA picks. A nice feature is that you can go from strumming, either softly or heavily, by just a slight movement of your finger and thumb placement. Its "multi-gauge" quality allows this which makes it nice. There are some complaints about the rubber grip, but I think if you practice around with this pick you can get by without hitting it against the strings. Personally, I find that this pick is very useful in dynamic playing settings... not just blow your socks off hard metal (which I like too). Metal purists may not take a liking to the DAVA Rock Pick due to how they strum with more of the edges of the pick, but if you play a more diverse range of music this will serve you well.

I've been playing for over 40 years and this pick, with the red tip, is the best I've found. I've tried all the Dava line and like the tone and feel of the red tip the best. They're a little hard to find, so I buy them in quantity and then keep two in each case. I like the Dava nylon for my acoustic.

                My new favorite pick

Comments about Dava Rock Control Delrin Medium:

There is no perfect pick for all styles, but this one gets close. The ability to go from flexible for strumming to stiff for single note leads is a real advantage. The overmolded grip is easy to hold and it won't slip out while playing. The overmolding does sometimes contact the strings, especially when strumming, but that does not affect the sound at all. During single note playing it is never a problem for me. For electric guitar this is my go to pick. For acoustic, the different stiffnesses isn't nearly as useful to me, I'm mostly just a strummer on the acoustic. But it is still a very comfortable pick to use for that purpose.

I love this pick. Finally a pick that won't move around while I'm playing. I used to use Gator Grips but the when you pick very fast and hard like I do the still move. I think it depends on how you pick. If you pick the way I do, which is only about an eighth inch of the pick sticks out past your fingers then this pick is great. But if you pick with a lot of pick sticking out, all flimsy like, this pick will not forgive you.

I love the diversity of these picks. I can switch from rythym to leads with much ease. My friend gave me one of these almost a year ago, and I've held onto it ever since. I'm ordering more of them!
