Case arrived in excellent condition - enclosed in a box with bubble wrap. The case is just as advertised - solid, wheat brown color and furry black interior. Several latches ensure it will stay shut and protect the bass. Nice for the the price.

This is the only choice to fit a Dean EAB Bass that means they will make you pay more. The case cost well over 1/2 the price of the bass, but it is a nice case.
The problem I have is that it stunk when I received it. I don't mean smelled a little bad, I mean it stunk up the whole upstairs in my house and the music room still smells bad more than a month later. It smells like Moth Balls and that smell is deep into the wood of the Bass. I am not sure how long it will take to go away but after a month, it is still there stong.
I have mixed feelings on recommending this -- it is solid, although expensive protection but if you get one that smells you can't go near the room it is in!

This case did have minor pooches in the tolex so I got it new at a reduced price. But it was better than I had expected It is roomy inside but the bass is securely supported. The Dean EAB is too much bass to rely on a gig bag, so this case is the bee's knees. I would trust this case on the road, playing outdoor gigs or camping. The bass is so affordable one might balk at the price of the case but in the final analysis it is an outstanding bass for the price and it deserves an adequate case. This case is the best solution at a quite reasonable price.

Over all. I pleased with the case. The photo's of the bass case was very accurate. I already knew what to expect. The case is nicely made.
The inside of the case is nice and flush. The bass fits like a glove. The compartment area is also big enough to be useful.
Its nicely built but my only concern is that its a heavey case and the handle might end up breaking off. Its only held by two rivots and dont know if it will hold up. Everything else looks pretty good.
It is a fair price.

Although the case was everything I expected it to be, it was the second one they sent me due to the first case was smushed when I took it out of the box. Since this damage was not caused by shipping, the case was damaged prior to being shipped, which was weird. At any rate, MF quickly remedied the situation and shipped me a new case after they had received the damaged case back. This caused a two week delay in my actually being able to use the case, but now that I have the replacement case and am able to use it it is great!
Case is very nice for the price, I looked around at the local music stores but none of their cases would fit my Dean Performer bass, so this is just what the doctor ordered. Fits perfectly!

Just received the case. This is an awesome case. Fits my Stylist B1 Acoustic Dean Bass wonderfully. I sent in the measurements to the Tech. Group and they said it would work and it does. Its a really heavy duty case. It has a lot of locks so I know it will stay shut. Its kinda heavy. And my playmate EABC fits perfect in it. Plus it just looks cool.

I would suggest to anyone that's considering purchasing a Dean Playmate EAB and this hardshell case to do so at the same time and request that Musicians friend pack the Bass in the case for shipping. The reason? I just received the case for a Dean Playmate EAB I had purchased from here previously, the problem was that the case is MUCH too short for the Bass that it's supposed to fit even though it had the barcode sticker on the case claiming it was the correct case. It would be so much more convenient to discover the problem at the warehouse end instead of when you recieve it. Other than this complaint about the improper case size which I'm confident Musicians Friend will rectify, I'd say it's a well made and attractive case... Now if it would just fit!!
